Simple food, rost meat and vegetables were nicely prepared and the whole was reasonably priced for a family lunch.Staff were really good with the children and prepared a small plate meal for each of them.

Centrally located in Portreath, close to the beach and easy to find. Staff at the B&B could not be more welcoming. The room was clean, cosy and very quiet. Lovely fluffy towels and chunky pillows. Breakfast was fantastic and served with a warm smile. Totally recommend and worth the money. We also drank in the pub which had a relaxed... More

While the decor may still need some work (apparently the whole building is getting a facelift) the friendly and welcoming atmosphere is already firmly in place. Good food with a simple but imaginative menu, plenty of space to relax or have a drinky poos, and the pretty beach just a few steps away, this is ideal if you want to... More

Arrived rather late, but to a really warm genuine welcome, my family and I (Mum Dad 3 adult children) were quickly settled into warm comfortable (very clean) rooms. with ample tea making facilities the selection of biscuits and bars were a God send as it was past 11:30 at night! Breakfast was good, decent sausages and bacon, but the selection... More

A lovely friendly pub a stones throw from the beach and harbour. Great place to have a pint on a coastal walk. Good menu available if you were stopping to eat. Really great atmosphere and family and pet friendly.

I don't normally write reviews but what a superb friendly little pub! The food was superb and beautifully presented friendly young lovely barmaid and the blonde waitress who informed me they'd just bought the pub was superb! Definitely come back again

Visited the Portreath Arms yesterday there has been a change of management since we were last there it is so different! Couldn't believe it! The atmosphere was relaxed, still the local trade and banter but more friendly and chilled. The prices were very competitive. The restaurant was really busy and food quality excellent. We are booking into stay in the... More

I spent a weekend with my family in the wonderful seaside resort of Portreath. We stayed in the Portreath Arms and were made to feel extremely welcome by Claire and Nicole the new owners. This is a new venture for them and their aspirations of what they want to do with this place sounds fantastic. Yes some areas could do... More

I stayed just one night here while walking the coast path. My room was fine and I enjoyed my evening meal. I see the new owners (exceptionally friendly) are keen to up standards even further and I wish them well.

Have visited the Arms at least once a year for the last 5 years, and coming from overseas the main things I look forward to are the great pub food (best pies I've ever had and the full English breakfast sets me up for the day), and the chance to have a nice beer in a relaxed setting. The management... More
