We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Archiestown Hotel with our daughter and son in law a week ago Saturday as we had done about six years ago and it was just as good as we remembered. Our anniversary was mentioned and there was a card on the table for us in the dining room - a nice touch. The... More

Celebrating the birthday of a friend at 85 on Saturday last, a superb meal for a large number, it hit the spot on every way. Three courses perfectly balanced and served AND piping hot, and if you don't try their twice cooked cheese souffle' then you are missing a real treat.

This was our first overnight stay at The Archiestown Hotel in the small village of Archiestown, Moray with friends which we thoroughly enjoyed. We were give a very warm welcome by Alan & Jane who then showed us our lovely comfortable and spotless rooms with en suites. After relaxing we went downstairs to a warm lounge, enjoyed a pre dinner... More

Archiestown Hotel provided its usual friendly and hospitable setting for an excellent Hogmanay celebration - warm, welcoming, very comfortable and very good food with lots of extra features thrown in. The overnight accommodation was excellent, perhaps the most comfortable bed I have slept in. Jane and Alan create such a friendly ethos that no-one is overlooked and guests find themselves... More

We only had a meal here but wished we had been staying. The setting and ambiance is wonderful. The customer service is outstanding and the meal was beautifully cooked and presented. I am am on a gluten and dairy free diet and with only 2 days notice the chef provided me with a superb menu of options. We will be... More

We were wondering where to stop for lunch just as we saw this hotel. My husband has to follow a very restricted diet so we were especially delighted by the warm welcome and helpful response. Food is cooked to order and staff were able to change items on the menu to accommodate us. The lounge is warm and comfy and... More

What a wonderful place to stay and dine. We were in Scotland doing the Whiskey Trail and made reservations at this hotel. It is located perfectly for touring and enjoying numerous Single Malts. We couldn't have had a better location. We were also extremely impressed by the accomadations this property offered. Super clean and comfortable room. We also had a... More

We arrived early for dinner but were made to feel very comfortable in the sitting room. Dinner was superb - hot smoked salmon followed by grouse but the menu caters for all tastes. The owners Alan and Jane are attentive without intruding. All in all it is an absolute gem.

The hotel was good – in an excellent location to visit the whisky distilleries. The room was comfortable; however the restaurant was the best feature with very fine dining – Michelin star quality (from 2 foodies who know). We recommend this hotel for its convenient location and outstanding food.

On a sunny day, this hotel is lovely to sit outside and have a cup of tea, enjoying the sun and the pretty window boxes. The sitting areas inside are snug and cosy too with welcoming armchairs, cushions and rugs. However, I was taken aback to be charged £9 for three cups of tea and left feeling very disappointed and...
