What a wonderful place to stay and dine. We were in Scotland doing the Whiskey Trail and made reservations at this hotel. It is located perfectly for touring and enjoying numerous Single Malts. We couldn't have had a better location. We were also extremely impressed by the accomadations this property offered. Super clean and comfortable room. We also had a... More

We arrived early for dinner but were made to feel very comfortable in the sitting room. Dinner was superb - hot smoked salmon followed by grouse but the menu caters for all tastes. The owners Alan and Jane are attentive without intruding. All in all it is an absolute gem.

The hotel was good – in an excellent location to visit the whisky distilleries. The room was comfortable; however the restaurant was the best feature with very fine dining – Michelin star quality (from 2 foodies who know). We recommend this hotel for its convenient location and outstanding food.

On a sunny day, this hotel is lovely to sit outside and have a cup of tea, enjoying the sun and the pretty window boxes. The sitting areas inside are snug and cosy too with welcoming armchairs, cushions and rugs. However, I was taken aback to be charged £9 for three cups of tea and left feeling very disappointed and... We arrived in the tiny village of Archiestown a little late for lunch but were greeted warmly and had afternoon tea and cheese and biscuits in a beautiful lounge with old well stuffed armchairs and delightful Victoriana style. Had a look at the menu which offered a two course dinner for £26 per person and the wine list looked good... More

We were the only ones staying in the hotel that night so we got some most excellent service. The food wasn't as good as I recall (this was our third trip) and the syrup pudding with custard was a bit school dinners but the room was very good. A lovely lounge and open fire set the place off well.

Just returned home after two nights dinner bed and breakfast at this hotel. It was perfect! The bedroom was nicely furnished and the bed very comfy. The lounge where we enjoyed drinks before dinner is a delightful room with a cosy log fire burning on Saturday evening ( too warm for that on Sunday!!) The food is really exceptional with... More

However, they sent me an e-mail telling me they couldn,t sell the rooms so charged me the full whack £240..... When i phoned to complain the owner was extremely rude and... More

The most comfortable bed. The cleanest room. The best service. A 5* restaurant reasonably priced. The food was delicious with a great choices on the menu. Local produce used -great wine list. Breakfast was we agreed one of the best we've had anywhere with haggis & kippers on the menu if you wanted them. For all the above and the... More

Stayed overnight at this nice little hotel on Speyside. It does what it says on the tin - nice helpful and welcoming staff (not always a given in Scotland!) , good food, comfortable rooms, tasteful decor. Would definitely go back and would recommend it to my friends.
