We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of June for our wedding anniversary. It was absolutely lovely. Karen and Alistair the Landlord and Landlady were really welcoming. They could not do enough for us. The rooms were lovely and clean and it was a nice little touch to find to have a bar of chocolate left in the... More

Lealholm is a picturesque village and a great place for walking and angling or, indeed, for spending a quiet day or a quiet stay. When I arrived on the train I got in tow with a couple of lady walkers - but eventually we parted company and went our separate ways. However, in due course and later in the day... More

Just spent a very enjoyable night at a most pleasant English country pub, not too many around that offer the same level of comfort and cuisine at such reasonable prices. I would say that a few nights here given some fine weather, would be so relaxing.

Lovelly staff and owners they helped plan our days out with attractions in the area. Jack loved playing in the river and stepping stones, very clean and comfy room, great food and good portions, one of my family has a food allergy with dairy foods and just let them know as the food can be cooked with that in mind.... We are now regular visitors to this hidden gem on the North Yorkshire Moors. We go back time and time again to soak up the warm and friendly atmosphere and the lovely welcoming and very helpful staff. Karen and Alistair, the landlords, are always pleased to see us and can't do enough for us to make our stay as enjoyable... More

Arrived with family for a one night stay. Everyone was welcoming and friendly the food was to a brilliant standard, which was adapted to our preference. The bedrooms were like home to home, including home made scrummy biscuits and board inn chocolate bars. I would recommend the board in to everyone and I am looking forward to coming back! (... More

well being as our cottage we were stopping in was just up the road we decided to go into the local pub. I couldn't believe how clicky and unfriendly the staff were! the people in it whom I presume are locals were very nice people. So after asking one of the staff about food she told us to go during... After having a most delicious lunch last year, we booked for dinner on our visit to Whitby this time. This really is a wonderful find as it is very good food at a fair price and the price of the wine is very reasonable. My husband had smoked haddock with perfectly poached eggs and I had a rich beef casserole.... More

We stayed at the Board in on Friday & Sat night (myself, husband, 12 year old Daughter and our 10 month old Labrador!) We stayed in the family room with a double bed and twin beds. We were made welcome from the minute we arrived. We had a great weekend and the reviews about the food certainly live up to... More

Enjoyed a wonderful traditional Sunday lunch at this lovely little pub in the idyllic village of Leaholme in the middle of the North Yorkshire Moors. There were 6 of us and most chose roast beef served with massive Yorkshire and the most tasty selection of roast potatoes and vegetables plus crushed potatoes and selection of greens. The gravy just added... More
