This is a very nice place for a yoga holiday. It is not an ashram, so people seeking a more "authentic spiritual Indian" atmosphere might be better of somewhere else. I'm not sure about the teacher training, but the drop-in yoga classes were nice. It is a wonderful experience to practice yoga outside, surrounded by palm trees, with the sound... More

Ashiyana is just a place I love. It is so comfortable, adorable, great ambience and lovely people. If you are in doubt; GO! You will love it. I stayed for 3 whole weeks. Even thought there are some things that I want to tell you about my experience. I stayed in a beach hut so this is to all of... More

I found Ashiyana to be soulless and not the spiritual, calm retreat I was hoping for. There are so many private retreats being run/hosted that groups are quite clicky and some had own dining arrangements and didn't mix with other guests. I recommend booking any treatments you might want in advance or at least on arrival as we were told all... More

Just back from a long weekend at Ashiyana. I spent 3 nights in a beach hut and found it to be completely adequate/functional. The room and bathroom are basic but exceptionally clean. It's really like being in a tent where you can hear every noise around you, so if you're a light sleeper this option is not for you. The... More

I have been at Ashiyana for a week in November. I was traveling alone and I decided to get a good room which was actually very nice and big Knowing India a bit, I was hoping in a more local atmosphere while it was more a place where yoga is mainly a trend. it is more western style (including the... Reading the other reviews - Yes it is more expensive then other places in India but you get what you pay for. I have visited India quite a few times and have sampled a range of the accommodation levels.... If you want the real India exotic experience you can get it cheaper elsewhere however if you want good yoga, good... More

Ashiyana is a very beautiful resort and close to a quiet, clean beach. The staff was so friendly and helpful, food is delicious and drop-in yoga is mostly of good quality. The palm groove room was really nice and comfortable. The only negative thing was the beach hut where I stayed first, it was really too basic for the price... More

The place itself is very nice, the food seems decent if unspectacular. I only saw one Yoga class and it was average. I am giving this a one start review just to help make people aware of the INCREDIBLE PRICE OF THE PLACE. I looked online and thought it seemed reasonable, a friend had recommended it also. When we arrived... More

Ashiyana is tucked away in a little grove just off of the laid-back Mandrem beach, about 1.5-2 hours drive away from the Goa airport. We stayed in the Palm Grove (mid-range room), which was spacious and very uniquely designed. Part of the experience is being close to nature, so some of the windows are without glass panes, and insects come... More
