I have stayed here twice on business trips and the accommodations are great. The B&B is not far from Carenten (and the Normandy war sites) and there are several grocery stores and towns within a short drive. Hazel has been an amazing host on both occasions. The breakfast croissants are also some of the best I've ever had. I can... More

Stayed one night at the beginning and end of our summer holidays as sailed in/out Cherbourg. Hazel and Steve were fantastic hosts and were able to provide lots of very useful local information if interested in the landing beaches and military history. Will definitely stay again and would fully recommend this B&B as good value and very comfortable.

We stayed with Hazel & Stephen for 3 nights at the beginning of October and we had a wonderful time. Great location, spacious/clean room and lovely breakfast, freshly delivered in the morning. We would be out all day enjoying the sights (Mont St Michel, D-Day beaches, Bayeaux etc all very accessible) and would come back to a warm welcome and... More

Staying at this b&b where the accommodation is more than you would expect for a b&b. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. The hosts, Hazel and Stephen go out of their way to meet your needs. Nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend if visiting the war beaches or even just passing through.

A fantastic base to discover Normandy. Hazel and Steve are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much bother and the customer is certainly the priority at this establishment. I would recommend having an evening meal at the house, we did and it certainly hit the spot. Relaxing in the little on site bar was just great. Well done you two... More

Probably the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Hazel and Steve did us proud The accommodation was good, the breakfast good and on the couple of occasions we had dinner the food and wine was very satisfactory, what more can I say, highly recommended.

A great B&B! Very welcoming and friendly hosts . Room comfortable and clean, good to have tea and coffee making facilities there. Breakfast was good with cereals, yogurt , croissants, baguettes, juice and hot drinks, plenty of choice. Definitely stay again if in the area.

First, please excuse my broken english. I`ve got a warm welcome from Hazel when I arrived on Sunday. She`s showed me the breakfast room and the sitting room, also my room upstairs. The house is really wonderful, Hazel and Steve have invested a lot of work and love in it. The bedroom is spacious (I got a 3-bed-room), the en-suite... More

Thank you to Hazel and Steve for a lovely stay at their B&B 'Le Clos Castel'. The farmhouse is large and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable - I had an excellent night's sleep on every night - not something I can say about any other B&B or hotel I have stayed at. Breakfast was plentiful and our hosts were... A belated but hearfelt review for Hazel and Steve who made our 5 stay in July 2012 amazing. Nothing is too much trouble... booking was easy and very competitive, we got a warm welcome and a huge en-suite room for myself and my son, plus a gorgeous en-suite for my Mum and her Partner. All good so far. Beds were... More
