the gers were cool, sure they were all touristed up with the bright paint but they had a workable wood burner and were reasonably comfortable. Rented their ponies which was a riot for a few hours up into the grasslands There guide located a herd of Theki wild horse that were cool to see Food was a bit rough but... More

If you want to see the Przewalski horses in Hustai National park you really do need to stay overnight, as dusk and dawn is when they come down from the high terrain to drink in the valley creeks. This camp is 10 kilometers from one of the most likely place to see them ( we saw about 20 in 2... More

My sister and I stayed here for 3 weeks in May/June 2010 on the Przewalski horse (takhi) Ecovolunteer programme and had an amazing time. Tourists can also stay at the camp and the accommodation is the same, but I cannot comment on cost or services provided to them. The gers are cosy and very comfortable accommodation. Each ger has a... More

I'm not sure if out issues staying here were related to our late arrival, we got in about 2am because our flight from Beijing was delayed 12 hours (quite common on Air China apparently). The Ger itself was quite nice and once the fire was started it warmed up quickly and was very pleasent. The problem was at around 5am... More

We visited the park which has its head quarters at this ger camp. We actually stayed in some locals gers just outside the camp, but snuck in to the camp for their facilities. The showers were good, for a ger camp. the Gers looked nice, not too close to each other. the camp has a restaurant with some good smells,... More

We had just one night here in what turned out to be marvellous, if cold, weather. Our ger was basic but warm and comfortable. Beds were adequate and a towel provided. The ger had electric light and a wood fire which burnt down quite fast so there was a need to get up to enliven it in the middle of... More
