We stayed here as a family group for Christmas 2011 as my parents live locally. We booked all rooms and were were very pleasantly surprised to find outstanding accommodation. We had anticipated a lovely pub, but were prepared to tolerate ok rooms (given it's a pub with very reasonable costs). We love old pubs, but usually stay in very different...

We stayed at the Masons Arms at the end of the summer. The accommodation was first class and provided everything we needed. Unfortunately the landlady embarrassed us in front of a bar full of people concerning our dog who had been frightened by someone in the bar and proceeded to lecture us, informing us she was a dog trainer and...

I am sorry you felt offended by my attitude but unfortunately the dog was extremely aggressive. As you were sat by the main entrance to the pub I felt I had no choice but to ask you to remove the dog from the bar as there were small children and elderly people who had been frightened as it lunged forward...

not being one to stay in B & B pub style accommodation, more than likely to stay in a 5 star hotel / resort, i have got to say this place did not dissapoint, we used this place to catch up with old friends who themsleves had just moved to the area, they had popped in the week befor to...

This is the second time we have stayed at the Mason's Arms. Its is charming olde English county pub and the hotel facilities are excellent. The food is a culinary delight and we thoroughly enjoyed the break. We will definately be returning.

Stayed at The Masons Arms again last weekend and it was just perfect. Drew and Paula are wonderful hosts, every one of the staff so helpful and cheerful. Excellent food in the evening, spot-on breakfasts and the most relaxed atmosphere, you feel like a local. The pub was packed out on Friday and Saturday evening, that tells you something about...

This is the third time that we have stayed here with friends and once again everything was perfect. The staff, the rooms, the food and the beer (brewed on-site) are of the highest quality and it is difficult to know how they could possibly improve on this. One thing is for sure; we'll be back again and again and can't...

We stayed for two nights to attend a family wedding being held nearby, what a brilliant place. Rooms are spotless, modern, well furnished, roomy with excellent modern bathrooms and the added bonus of a lovely village pub attached. Excellent breakfasts and comprehensive evening menu, the food was very good indeed. Another family booked into the attached caravan site and were...

Everything was as advertised. Rooms were spacious, clean & very comfy. Spent three nights in the family room & 2 eight year olds were most impressed with their accomodation. My daughter had the single room which again was lovely & she had a very comfortable stay.

I was breaking a long journey to Cornwall and wanted a stopover to visit friends in the area. I am so glad I booked The Masons Arms. I was welcomed promptly even though the pub was closed and shown to the single room I had booked. It was probably larger than a lot of double rooms in many city hotels....
