Couldn't fault a thing. We had read the favourable comments regarding the pub being dog friendly and I can only endorse those comments. The staff, atmosphere and food are great. Good spot to park up, take a walk and finish off for refreshments.

Called in without reservation for dinner to find a great welcome and warm atmosphere. Real ales brewed on site were good, excellent wine list to accompany interesting menu serving local produce. Will go again.

Had a great lunch at the Masons, value for money two mains for £14.00 a friend and I had the spicy bean burger which came with chips, salad and chilli chutney was delicious and very hearty. Finished off with sticky toffee pudding, again lovely. The pub has a warm friendly atmosphere, and is dog friendly so our four legged friends... More

Always stay here when working in the area which is typically once every 4-6 months.Always a very warm welcome where you feel that nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are clean, well sized and comfortable. The bar and restaurant has a great selection of real ales and fantastic quality food. Make sure you leave some room for breakfast though as... More

We stayed here with our family members on the site with our motor homes at the back of the pub. The road driving in was quite tight for large our motorhome however we managed! The pub owner was welcoming and very relaxed, which made us relaxed. We hooked up next to the chickens!! (Lol) and settled in before going to... More

We have stopped here several times now, often with our dogs. Apart from being a great traditional English pub in a beautiful village it really stands out for its attention to doggy detail! Dogs are provided their own blanket, bowls and snacks - and most impressive is the selection of local dog walks which have been planned out for you.... More

We had a dinner at the Masons Arms on Tuesday night. The three of us agreed that this was a pub definitely worth a further visit. The fish and chips was cooked to perfection and my wife's lambs liver as good as she has eaten. A great find.

Passing through Somerset on my way to Dorset I was recommended to overnight from a good friend who lives in Zurich of all places. Both of us could be described as well traveled and quite discerning. What a real little gem The Mason Arms turned out to be. A clean and comfortable bedroom fitted out with some fine oak furniture... More
