I had an evening meal with my brother and sister a couple of days ago. First time I have been there. The atmosphere when entering was very nice and we greated by a nice young lady. They brew beer on the premises and they let my have three tasters before selecting the one I liked. They were all very nice... More

We had lunch here and enjoyed the food very much. Both of us opted for burgers, mine was with cheese and my husbands was pulled pork. The meal was served on a small wooden board which barely had room for the burger, a little dish of home made relish, a small pot of coleslaw and the ubiquitous bucket of chips.... More

My wife, two large greyhounds and I were travelling from Uxbridge to Dartmoor for a couple of nights and decided to break the journey and booked for one night at The Masons Arms. We stayed in a fabulous dog friendly room and upon arrival at about 2:30pm had a couple of drinks in the bar and met and chatted to... More

I can't remember exactly how we found The Mason Arms, an afternoon Googling and there she was. The best find ever this is a little gem. We were camping over the New Year and the facilities were excellent, clean, hot shower block and well organised. Coupled with that was the real ale and the restaurant. What else could we ask... Second stay at The Masons Arms and we were more delighted if that is possible second time around. Very warm welcome form mine hosts and this warmth extends throughout visit. The main building is a great period property and the bedrooms are in a new purpose built extension. The rooms are clean, fresh, modern and very well appointed. The beds... More

Booked for 8.30 pm arrived 8,35 ordered our food at 8.55 food arrived 10.00 no explanation or apology, just a sorry for the wait when it arrived. On the specials menu board is a meal it states, if you order it it will take 25 minutes.!...wow, wish I had ordered that one instead of a simple bland home made burger... More

I am disappointed to hear that you didn't enjoy your meals and fully accept that there was a delay in serving your main meals which we did fully apologize for on the night and you seemed quite pleasant and understanding. You were served garlic bread beforehand which arrived promptly and all of the other tables also had starters. Unfortunately a... More

Rightly awarded pub of the year for the region. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, well equipped rooms (free water and a couple of beers). Shower was amazing. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Attractive old building in a tiny, pretty village. Loads of parking.

We spent 4 nights at The Masons Arms at the beginning of October with our 2 dogs and have to say what a great place to stay. The room was fabulous with little extra touches like dressing gowns, cotton wool and buds in the bathroom and generous tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a mini fridge with complementary... More
