This farmhouse in the little village of Odcombe is simply amazing. I read the reviews here on trip advisor and was not disappointed! Helen is such a wonderful person, she made my husband and I feel like family from the moment we arrived. Where to begin with this place? The farmhouse is huge and in beautiful condition with huge landscaped... More

It has all been said before - beautiful, stylish house, fabulous grounds, excellent location, delicious breakfasts & wonderful hostpitality from the delightful host, Helen. Without a doubt, Townsend Farm is the very best B&B we have EVER come across in the UK. Townsend Farm is a very special place - we arrived as guests & left as friends. Thank you... More

Townsend Farm should be the bench mark that all B&Bs should aspire to; a wonderful oasis for those of us with busy lives. Helen, Herbert and DJ make you feel very welcome (my partner and I are now qualified ball throwers for Herbert the dog); we had tea and home-made shortbread in the garden (stunning!) upon arrival. Our room (the... More

We stayed here for just one night, but what a great house. Beautifully restored with fantastic gardens, Helen gave us a lovely welcome, with tea in the garden, throwing a ball for her dog Herbert. Very nice room, with a huge bathroom. Only down side for us was no TV, but as we staying for just a night, not a... More

We decided to come down to Somerset from our home in West Sussex, for one night, on the spur of the moment and were delighted to arrive at Townsend Farm and to be welcomed by Helen with a pot of freshly brewed tea, which we enjoyed in her fabulous garden. It is a lovely peaceful location with gorgeous views, and... More

We chose Townsend Farm because it was close to several National Trust properties. I can thoroughly recommend it. You won't be disappointed. Lovely house - spotlessly clean and very comfortable and quiet. Garden to die for. Breakfast was delicious - beautifully presented with home produced goodies and eggs from the hens. Helen made us very welcome and to top it... More

We spent two fabulous nights at Townsend Farm. Helen was the perfect hostess, friendly but not intrusive. The house and gardens were a delight and the food was delicious. Our room was extremely comfortable, one of the best beds we've slept in!! Will definitely go back if we're in that area again.

We (my partner and I and our 9 month old baby) only stayed one night at Townsend Farm but we would loved to have stayed longer. Helen (the owner) made us feel welcome and at home (albeit it far more luxurious and with better cakes than home!) right from the start. We arrived to lemon curd cake and tea outside... More

Lovely house and gardens in a fantastic location, Great breakfast including homemade apple juice, scrambled eggs and salmon (make sure you leave room for the muffins). The owner, Helen, could not have been more friendly and helpful-knows the area like the back of her hand. It is just down the road from a quaint pub with a local cider and... More

Great place in picture postcard village. Peaceful but near all the areas attractions. Brilliant breakfast-best one I ate in England. Great recommendations, hospitality (and food!) by the owner, Helen. Make sure you try a pint of the "local" at the pub.
