I have being staying here on and off since 1998 and have always had a warm welcome and a comfortable stay no matter which room i was in and is very reasonably priced. All the rooms are en-suite and are clean, attractive and tidy ranging from single, twins and doubles with all the facilities you would expect. The breakfast is... More

We stayed at the Eagle House Hotel for three nights while visiting relations in the neighbourhood. The style of the hotel is very friendly and informal, the breakfasts are splendid and the evening meals extrmeely good value (and quality). To avoid disappointment, don't expect five-star services. Do however expect a cordial welcome in a charming old family house. The hotel... More

Very warm welcome and we were shown to a lovely big room with antique -style furniture and large bathroom, complete with dark-coloured sunken bath - very eighties! Good views across the gardens to the countryside beyond. Our stay was pleasant, but was marred by very poor service at breakfast. We had requested an early breakfast and were assured that this... Stayed here for just one night in June. The hotel was very quiet, we were treated very well, the room was excellent with everything we could wish for - including plenty of space. I don't usually sleep very well away from home - but did here. Breakfast couldn't be bettered. I would DEFINITELY stay here again on our way to... More

This is not a place to stay if you want out and out luxury however it is the best place to stay for value for money, friendly staff, excellent breakfasts and good location. It is a small hotel, family run. The family room consisted of two rooms, both with en-suite. The rooms were small but clean and attractive. I gather... More

Stayed here for 2 nights, and got a good sized double bedroom on the second floor, with a side view of the castle. The room had original beams, which were a good feature. There was a pretty low ceiling at one end of the bathroom but this wasn't a major problem. The food was good quality - mainly a traditional... More

Launceston is a hidden gem in Cornwall, with not a lot of tourists. It was the capital of Cornwall at one time and has a lot of interesting buildings and is close to pretty countryside. The Eagle House Hotel is a very grand Georgian building, which is professionally run and reasonably priced. The staff were courteous and helpful. Their conference... More
