Hotel de France is fairly standard modern-ish French provincial hotel. Our room didn't have much charm but was modern, clean, roomy and functional. We were in the main building - there are also motel-style rooms in a courtyard. Isigny is a nice enough little town, with some shopping and a tiny port. Although the town itself has no real link... Very nice Hotel in heart of Isigny Sur Mer - Isigny Sur Mer is a very small town but quite convenient for visiting D Day sites. We stayed there 3 nights in Sept There are some rooms which are on first floor and open to a courtyard. We stayed in a room that was on the second floor -34 steps... More

We stayed at Hotel de France for four days and were really glad to leave it. The room was very basic, but the main problem was the lack of service and the unfriendliness of the staff. The shower drain was blocked so you were standing in several inches of old shower water. I asked four times to repair it but... More

We had an tastefully decorated room in a modern style. The staff were helpfully and friendly and the food was also excellent. The hotel is conveniently situated just of the small marker square, the town it self is pretty with small fishing boats and a small market on Wedsnesdays. The hotel made an excellent base for visiting all the D... More

I stayed in this hotel with a small group of friends on the night of 3rd September. My room was functional rather than stylish but the bathroom was fairly modern and brightened things up quite a bit. Both were clean and overall it suited me rather well. From an English perspective, the overwhelming plus about this hotel is the lady... More

A comfy and clean motel style hotel located very centrally in Isigny with its own parking at the rear. The management are extremely welcoming and helpful. When we (four friends) fell out with the driver of the taxi we had ordered, the manageress drove us 9km to Grandcamp Maisy in her own car for a prearranged dinner and arranged for... More

We've had a great stay in this hotel. The rooms are "motel-like" situated on a court-yard and look almost cottagelike. Rooms are reasonable clean except for some stains on the carpet that probably are very difficult to remove. Breakfast was complete and of good quality with boiled eggs, ham, cheese and a choice of jams and cereal. Off cours also... More

Centrally located and we stayed here on a weekend cycling trip in Normandy. Check-in was painful as they couldn't find the booking and required us to dig out our written confirmation. Once shown the room magically appeared so we couldn't understand what the problem was. We were able to leave our bikes in a locked garage which was helpful. We... More

We were traveling in a small group, with one member of our party who is handicapped. The hotel made special efforts to accommodate him, removing a bed from his room so that he had enough space to move around. The rooms are quite roomy anyway, and the beds very comfortable. Clean and quiet--our rooms were all on a courtyard where... More

We were a group of 4 who called in rather late for lunch about 1.30 pm.I mention the time because I think it must have affected the quality of the meals. The staff were very pleasant and the service prompt ,but a lack of forethought was very evident. The salad served with the starter had no dressing added, there were no finger... More
