had the delight of staying in the this hotel for couple of nights, went to reception and found the staff most friendly and as helpful as they could possibly be. Found the rooms clean and tidy but the beds well that is another matter, one of the twin beds the mattress was hard and when u moved on it ,... More

My husband booked this hotel for one night after becoming familiar with the area after having travelled here for work and thought it would be a nice place for us to stay for one nigh whilst visiting Norwich. From the outside it looked a decent enough property. Upon entering the house at the pub entrance to check-in, we had a... More

The staff and owners are lovely, helpful and friendly but the room was the worst I've ever been in. Two single beds and one of the mattresses was collapsed and well beyond its best and you could see how collapsed it is without even sitting on it so there's no way it has been missed. The room was musty, dank,... More

I stayed here as part of a combined work/pleasure weekend as I was visiting a few events in Norfolk and Suffolk. The room was really great - in the stables with the old type of door with a catch. It was lovely and warm too which I imagine might be a good thing during the depths of winter. The only... More

We stayed here last week while visiting family. We have a small dog and phoned the hotel before to make sure it was ok as it was advertised as being dog friendly. On arriving they seemed quite put out that we had our dog with us and had no record of my phone call. I booked through booking.com and I... More

Stayed one night in a twin room with my son walking the Peddars Way. Comfortable room in converted stables at the rear of the pub. Mary and pub staff all smiles. Ample dinner portions and good value. Similarly breakfast substantial. No complaints at all.

Stayed in a converted stable, the room was cosy and clean although décor is outdated, worn and in need of refurbishment especially the shower. The hotel has a reasonable room rate and a friendly atmosphere with a fairly good cooked breakfast. For a single night stop over it was a good base but I wouldn't want to stay for more... More

We stayed in a family room, which was clean. The bathroom was incredibly tiny and very hot with no room to move. Our double bed was the worst I have slept on, it had already been wrapped in a thick felt pad (so the owners must have been aware) but the springs were poking through. The only way I could get... Chose Hotel because it was close to the Army Camp. It was a very good choice. Rooms were very comfortable. We had an evening meal the food was excellent, staff were very friendly and so helpful. Originally we booked a table for 3 people, which at the last minute became 5,on a very busy Saturday was a lot to ask.... More
