I stayed here as part of a combined work/pleasure weekend as I was visiting a few events in Norfolk and Suffolk. The room was really great - in the stables with the old type of door with a catch. It was lovely and warm too which I imagine might be a good thing during the depths of winter. The only... More

We stayed here last week while visiting family. We have a small dog and phoned the hotel before to make sure it was ok as it was advertised as being dog friendly. On arriving they seemed quite put out that we had our dog with us and had no record of my phone call. I booked through booking.com and I... More

Stayed one night in a twin room with my son walking the Peddars Way. Comfortable room in converted stables at the rear of the pub. Mary and pub staff all smiles. Ample dinner portions and good value. Similarly breakfast substantial. No complaints at all.

Stayed in a converted stable, the room was cosy and clean although décor is outdated, worn and in need of refurbishment especially the shower. The hotel has a reasonable room rate and a friendly atmosphere with a fairly good cooked breakfast. For a single night stop over it was a good base but I wouldn't want to stay for more... More

We stayed in a family room, which was clean. The bathroom was incredibly tiny and very hot with no room to move. Our double bed was the worst I have slept on, it had already been wrapped in a thick felt pad (so the owners must have been aware) but the springs were poking through. The only way I could get... Chose Hotel because it was close to the Army Camp. It was a very good choice. Rooms were very comfortable. We had an evening meal the food was excellent, staff were very friendly and so helpful. Originally we booked a table for 3 people, which at the last minute became 5,on a very busy Saturday was a lot to ask.... More

I had a small Fathers Day gathering there on Sunday. Very good beer, clean and presentable. No TV. Good. And the staff were all on the ball and they made me and my grandchildren extremely welcome. We did not have a meal but the lovely aromas coming from the kitchen made us wish we had booked a table. The restaurant was... More

I have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions, every time me and my partner have been here we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Food is excellent, would pay more for the food than is charged, rooms are comfortable, staff are friendly, on one occasion we arrived later than anticipated, when we arrived the landlord laid on food for us even...
