I always worry about staying in rooms attached to a pub, but this was highly recommended so I took a chance. As soon as I arrived, I knew I'd got that I was in safe hands. A real country pub, very welcoming, comfortable etc, but not too much of a pub. I ate in the pub and had two courses.... More

I booked a group of 15 cyclists into this hotel, taking every room. A few days before the stay I had to rearrange the room allocations and Sophie could not have been more helpful in sorting that out. We were greeted warmly by Sophie when we arrived and she also served us in the bar and at the table that... More

When arrived at The Willows it looked a lovely old pub.. but it did not have a welcoming feel, when eventually found where to check in we were shown to our chalet type room at the back of the pub. The room was spacious and clean but did not like the ensuite which was small and in need of modernising.... More

We stayed here recently as we had to make arrangements for the funeral of my Mother in law. We needed 3 rooms plus food for 30 people for the wake. The whole team couldn't have been any more professional or helpful, they were truly amazing and made what was a difficult time so much easier. The rooms were great, the... More

Always a lovely stay at the Willow house, great rooms, great food. Only sour point was a rude and boorish guest who took exception to being asked politely not to sit at a table set for 3 people when he was a solo diner. Have these people never stayed in anything other than a hostel? Exceptionally rude. But hey ho!... More

Found this lovely place by accident. I am sometimes posted to the area as part of my job and have been staying in a variety of hotels in the area. So it was refreshing when I found the willow tree. Every member staff made me very welcome except one, who I found to be rude and boorish. I don't take... More

We were quite disappointed with The Willows which looked old & quirky from the outside but lacked this on the inside which looked dated rather than old? The room was in a chalet block outside the back of the main building and was a decent size apart from the bathroom, lacked character and could do with some updating and didn't... More

Only stayed for one night as we were walking the Peddars Way. The accommodation was satisfactory. The food was unexpectedly good, both the evening meal in the bar and the breakfast. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Husband and I stayed one night. At first a little disappointed by the rather shabby, tired decor - the place needs a little more money spent on it - but our room and (tiny) en suite were spotlessly clean. Generous breakfast with lots of good coffee included in the price of room. Staff were very kind and welcoming, and dinner... More

A special evening for us to celebrate 20 yrs together Their special offer of dinner, room & breakfast was splendidly delivered. Delightfully presented & prepared dinner in the restaurant, comfortable quiet en-suite room charmingly decorated with rose petals and bubbly, excellent breakfast. The Willow House excelled that evening confirming them as our favourite 'local': they consistently offer tasty interesting modern... More
