We stayed at the Turnpike Inn over the Bank holiday as a last minute getaway to do some walkingand visit Haworth. The price of £44 for a double room inc breakfast seemed very reasonable so we were not expecting anything special. The motorway can be seen in the distance but we never heard any traffic and the view of the... More

7 of us (from different parts of the country) met up here on the recommendation of 1 of our party who is a regular customer. 4 out of the 7 meals were cold. It was obvious that the frying oil needed changing as the batter on the fish and onion rings had bits of food clinging to it. The hot... More

Thank you for your review unfortunately as a new manager into the business, I need time to investigate the issues you faced on my day off. As I am already dealing with a member of your party who chose to take a more direct route by communicating directly with us, you will have to excuse my prioritising them. I am,... More

Stopped off on our way home from the Lakes and was very disappointed. Food was average and quite expensive. I ordered fish and chips which was ok but the portion was small, mushy peas were very thick, hard and I could stand my fork upright in them. My wife's beef dinner was cold and the Yorkshire pudding was flat. I'm... More

We had been recommended this place by a few different people so we decided to give it a go, I took my grandparents my little boy and partner. We arrived and were greeted by lovely staff who showed us to our table and took a drinks order it went downhill from there, it took well over an hr to bring... More

We have just returned from a two night break at the Turnpike Inn and had a wonderful time. The hotel was completely refurbished about 3 years ago but the decor and furniture are as new. The bedrooms with bath and shower are large and have modern fixtures and tiles and the bed was comfortable with good quality bedding. The restaurant... More

Decided to go for breakfast with daughter following a difficult maths A level exam - much tea and sympathy required. Was expecting a warm welcome and excellent food. However, we were met with sullen staff who could be barely bothered to take our order. After waiting for 45 mins and not a single cup of tea or sausage sandwich arriving... More

Stopped here with my daughter for a break on our journey. The food was good. Decor and atmosphere were pleasant. Freshly made decent portions and great value. The beet was good an excellent hand pulled pint, the staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to stop for lunch. Will call again

My wife and I stayed at the Turnpike Inn for one night. The occomodation was excellent, as was the service and food. The breakfast I can say, was the best breakfast I have had. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay again. The staff were exceptionaly helpful. D J Robinson.
