We have visited west cork for many years. We found the debarra lodge friendly welcoming and family orientated. The family owners were especially good at entertaining our toddler son, they also helped arrange a babysitter. The bedrooms were excellent and the breakfast was fabulous. The house was kept really clean and tidy with freshly laundered bedding and towels. We had... More

Sinead and Dan, and the lovely children, welcomed us from the moment we arrived, with tea and cake, and friendliness. Our room, number 4, was very comfortable, and we also had free use of an adjoining lounge with comfy settees and TV. We also got to meet all the extended family, as there was a local wedding in Rosscarberry, plus... More

I would highly recommend De Barra Lodge.Sinead could not have done any more to make our stay any better. The rooms are lovely..the breakfast has homemade scones bread and the most beautiful varieties of stewed fruit all made by Sinead..the eggs for the scrummy Irish fry are from Sineads own hens! Beautiful quiet location.

This is how a B and B should be run. Everything about it is excellent, from the booking and welcome to the bedrooms and breakfasts. Sinead and Dan have a lovely oasis where all are assured of a great stay. Highly recommended without reservation.

I travel about 75% of the year for work in the states and have stayed at over 100 hotels. This was by far the best stay I've ever had at any type of lodging ever. The breakfast was unlike anything I've ever experienced. I was the only patron for most of my stay but the dining area was still decked... More

We visited De Barra Lodge in September 2013 with a young baby and 2 yr old in tow. Sinead and her "clan" could not have been more welcoming. The B&B itself is maintained to a seriously high standard, rooms are extremely bright and spacious with a lovely relaxing atmosphere to the place. Our room was straight down the corridor from... I stayed here with a friend over New Years. The owners couldnt have been more hospitable or friendly. The accomodation was superb as was the breakfast the following day...akin to a 5 star hotel. Will definetly recommend to friends. Thanks for everything! Craig & Paul

We stayed here two nights in November 2013 while touring around Ireland on a short visit. WE wanted to stay somewhere near the shore in West Cork but not in Kinsale as we just stayed there a few weeks ago and wanted to try a new area. DeBarra Lodge is a little outside of town, but since Rosscarberry town is... More

Didn't stay here for very long as we attended a wedding in Rosscarbery until the early hours of the morning but the time my wife and myself were here it was a very pleasent stay. The owners couldn't do enough for us, including dropping us back to our car at the wedding venue the following morning. They didn't have to... More

Beautiful modern house in the countryside. We had a very spacious upstairs corner room that overlooked the fields in two directions. Very comfortable, clean and quiet. We had called ahead because we were late but Sinead welcomed us warmly upon arrival with tea and cake. Breakfast was very good and the sandy beach and ocean is only a 5 minute... More
