deBarra Lodge is a little over a mile outside Rosscarbery, up the hill by turning right at the end of the bridge before the village on the Cork side. Top marks all round. Set in a beautiful location, the building has beautiful stonework and a well maintained lawn outside. The inside is also meticulously maintained and the hospitality is excellent.... more

We had a wedding in the Celtic Ross Hotel and were looking for a cheaper accomadation to the hotel. DeBarra Lodge is just a few minutes down the road from the hotel so it was perfect. Our twin room for two young girls were lovely, we loved the decore, very modern and stylish. The overall house is very lovely and... more

I agree with the other posts that rate deBarra lodge at the top. My wife and I stayed in Rosscarbery to access some of the many neolithic and Iron Age sites in West Cork. Sinead and Dan were most helpful in mapping out where we wanted to go. The room and overall facility was great. For us, internet access is... more

On an ex-tended weekend family break in Roscarberry we booked the De Barra Lodge because they could accomodate the 5 couples and 1 small child. This was the best decision in a weekend of fantastic activites. Sinead and Daniel are the epitome of warming and welcoming hosts where nothing is any trouble. The rooms are superb , easily 4* hotel... more

We have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing weekend at de Barra lodge. Sinead made us feel truly welcome. Our room was fresh and spotlessly clean. maybe it was the sea air, or the comfy mattress, but that was the best nights sleep I have had in a long time. Breakfast was delicious. I can definately recommend the homemade buttermilk... more

DeBarra Lodge is a lovely newly built B&B located in peaceful surroundings just outside the village of Rosscarberry. The owner and hostess, Sinead Barry is a warm and friendly person who will make you feel very welcome in her home. She was very helpful and gave me some suggestions for dinner in Rosscarberry. My room was spacious, comfortable, very clean... more

We stayed after a wedding recently and enjoyed it so much we stayed another night. The rooms are spotless and spacious. Guests have use of a sitting room which was great as there were a few of us so we were able to laze around and chat when we were all tired without sitting on beds. Sinead was really helpful... more

Lovely B&B! Extremely spacious rooms and very well decorated. Very friendly host and hostess. Sitting room available for guests use and after we arrived back after dinner, the fire was lit for us. It was really like a home away from home as we sipped a bottle of wine in front of the fire. Breakfast was included and was lovely.... more
