The staff were lovely but the food in the main restaurant was very poor. We ordered confit of duck for a starter and it was unedible. It's a very nice place and it is also very quite. So don't there if your looking for a lively weekend. But if your looking for a good base to see West Cork and... More

I got married in the Celtic Ross in June and I simply couldn't have been happier with my choice of venue. The hotel was beautiful, the setting by the water was very special and guests really enjoyed being able to enjoy drinks sitting outside by the bay in the sunshine. The food was excellent, staff wonderfully friendly and full of... More

I went back to Rosscarberry to renew my childhood memories, the Celtic Ross hotel is in a beautiful spot and we were lucky enough to have a room overlooking the bay. The staff at reception were very welcoming and the rest of the staff were very friendly also. The bed was fairly comfy although I have slept in better, a... More

I spent a weekend in July at the Celtic Ross Hotel as part of a wedding party. From the moment I checked in it was fantastic. The hotel itself is lovely, overlooking the sea. The lobby area is spacious with lots of comfortable seating. I was allocated a room on the first floor, but I subsequently asked if I could... More

We stayed in the Celtic Ross for a wedding in July. Beautiful setting. Food was excellent and staff very helpful. Rooms are a bit dated with no Air-Con which we needed in Ireland this summer. Overall very nice hotel but maybe overpriced.

Booked the restaurant for a meal with overseas visitor who likes a good T bone steak. We were disappointed with the offerings on the set & bar menus, requested A la Carte, but were informed this did not exist. Had booked restaurant for lengthy pleasant meal to catch up on old times, but the noise in the restaurant, we might... More

We just went for a lunch so didn't stay in the hotel. The choice on the menu was limited but was tasty, especially the tagliatelle with lots of olives, rocket and tender chicken was a delight. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful (especially Christina, regards to her!).

Stayed here for one night for my husbands birthday. We had lunch in the bar which could only be described as woeful. Ordered sandwiches which were very poor. Selection of wine was also poor, only sauvignon blanc that wasn't impossibly expensive was awful. Any decent wine was 7.95 per glass!! Dinner in the dining room was in fairness very tasty... More

Dear Lynsey M, Thank you for the recent review. Your stay seemed to be a bit of a mixed bag unfortunately and for that I apologise. I am disappointed to hear about the lunch and the feedback on the wine. Our House White has been well received so it is sad to hear you did not enjoy it. Regards the... More

This hotel is in a fantastic location near the village of Rosscarbery, the lake and the beach. Ideal base for touring West Cork. The food is good although I was not too impressed by the cooked breakfast. The rooms are small but adequate, I stayed there for 3 nights in August 2014 while the family festival was on. The kids... Spent a weekend in the Celtic Ross last autumn under a two nights for one deal. The location is beautiful overlooking the lagoon and bay, adjacent to the lovely village of Rosscarbery. The standard of the rooms was fine like many universal rooms these days but the view was lovely. The breakfast was fine but not very personal. The staff... More
