Stayed here for one night for my husbands birthday. We had lunch in the bar which could only be described as woeful. Ordered sandwiches which were very poor. Selection of wine was also poor, only sauvignon blanc that wasn't impossibly expensive was awful. Any decent wine was 7.95 per glass!! Dinner in the dining room was in fairness very tasty... More

Dear Lynsey M, Thank you for the recent review. Your stay seemed to be a bit of a mixed bag unfortunately and for that I apologise. I am disappointed to hear about the lunch and the feedback on the wine. Our House White has been well received so it is sad to hear you did not enjoy it. Regards the... More

This hotel is in a fantastic location near the village of Rosscarbery, the lake and the beach. Ideal base for touring West Cork. The food is good although I was not too impressed by the cooked breakfast. The rooms are small but adequate, I stayed there for 3 nights in August 2014 while the family festival was on. The kids... Many thanks for the recent review. As you can see from our reviews, the family festival has proved very successful. It is a real bonus for us to have this as a selling point in the hotel! I am glad that you enjoyed our unique location and our food. The feedback on the food of late has been excellent both... More

Room wasn't ready for check-in at 3pm, had to leave our suitcases behind the desk and get changed in the toilets. No information whatsoever given at check-in time (time-frame and room for the breakfast. access to the amenities, gym, pool etc). Had to double-check myself about the late check-out we originally paid for. Not impressed with the food at the... More

Spent a weekend in the Celtic Ross last autumn under a two nights for one deal. The location is beautiful overlooking the lagoon and bay, adjacent to the lovely village of Rosscarbery. The standard of the rooms was fine like many universal rooms these days but the view was lovely. The breakfast was fine but not very personal. The staff... More

The hotel is located across the street from the bay. Great view in the mornings. The town of Rosscarberry is a very quant town with a couple of pubs, but not much else. If you aren't looking to leave the hotel or just walk along the water, this may be your hotel. Staff is accommodating and nice. Hotel bar very... More

We stayed here last Friday night on our way to Kerry. We had stayed here twice previously so we knew exactly what to expect. For a 3 Star hotel, it is of a very good standard, well run, clean and friendly. Offering good value for money. The Celtic Ross is a proper hotel, not a developer hotel. I would imagine... More

Having recently returned from a very enjoyable stay in the Celtic Ross Hotel, I just had to pass on our very positive comments. Overlooking the lovely estuary that forms Rosscarbery Bay, the setting is indeed unique. The ideal location really suited our needs as we like to spend time in the superb surrounding countryside that is West Cork, with it's... More

Just spent a week at this hotel. Really wonderful location -a lovely welcome from the staff. Our room overlooked the bay and was spacious and comfortable. The meals were all excellent . I can recommend this hotel highly. Every aspect of care extended by all the staff .

We enjoyed our stay in the area but next time we'll be looking for a good quality B&B. The restaurant staff were good and very interested in our enjoyment. However, for the price, this hotel should provide more. The overriding impression was one of shabbiness. The carpets are worn and stained. The bedroom was small and claustrophobic. They should remove... More
