We stayed here last Friday night on our way to Kerry. We had stayed here twice previously so we knew exactly what to expect. For a 3 Star hotel, it is of a very good standard, well run, clean and friendly. Offering good value for money. The Celtic Ross is a proper hotel, not a developer hotel. I would imagine... More

Having recently returned from a very enjoyable stay in the Celtic Ross Hotel, I just had to pass on our very positive comments. Overlooking the lovely estuary that forms Rosscarbery Bay, the setting is indeed unique. The ideal location really suited our needs as we like to spend time in the superb surrounding countryside that is West Cork, with it's... More

Just spent a week at this hotel. Really wonderful location -a lovely welcome from the staff. Our room overlooked the bay and was spacious and comfortable. The meals were all excellent . I can recommend this hotel highly. Every aspect of care extended by all the staff .

We enjoyed our stay in the area but next time we'll be looking for a good quality B&B. The restaurant staff were good and very interested in our enjoyment. However, for the price, this hotel should provide more. The overriding impression was one of shabbiness. The carpets are worn and stained. The bedroom was small and claustrophobic. They should remove... More

Stayed for one night last weekend. It was a great experience. The staff couldn't have been more friendly even though they were after two days of wedding. The food was excellent. Looking forward to visiting again. The restaurant was a real treat especially for my grandchildren.

We could not have enjoyed our stay at the Celtic Ross more and although the room, the hotel and the facilities are fabulous, it was the STAFF and the FOOD that made our stay what it was. They have a new Head Chef that they must keep at all costs, the food was AMAZING and the buffet breakfast fantastic. What... More

Having read that the Celtic Ross had won Carvery of the year 2013 we were anxious to try it.However we left with the opinion that if this was the best, how bad were its competitors? The restaurant was busy , with pleasant staff but the carvery was basic to say the least. 1 choice of starter, veg soup,5 main courses and 4... More

I stayed here last weekend and it remains as good as ever. I have been coming here for a good few years and it is my favourite hotel of all times in Ireland. The front line staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is very good but I prefer the bar food experience. It is in a perfect location to... More

We have been staying here almost every year since it opened because we like the location. The staff are very friendly and the rooms spacious and comfortable though sparse. The food is good too. The gym equipment is very basic and worn out and although the pool is clean the changing rooms are tired and vandalized. Noisy unruly kids were... More

The location of the hotel is a great base for exploring West Cork and the views onto the estuary are fantastic. Unfortunatley the view from our hotel room was the function room roof and a graveyard. The room we stayed in was basic, if a little tired, but we thought that €120 was a bit steep for the service, room... More
