I was at Oideas Gael for the bank holiday weekend doing a flute workshop and stayed here and it was fabulous. From a fabulous breakfast in the mornings, to evening chats with Margaret and a lovely friendly atmosphere in he communal kitchen and living room. I couldn't recommend them more, its nice escaping from the real world for a little... More

We stayed two nights at Teach Gleann Dobhar last June. We got to stay in the house next door, which the family owns as well. While the room lacked a little charm, it was very comfortable (no wifi, though, which is only available in the main house). But Martin was very friendly and helpful, and every morning we started our... More

I stayed at Teach Gleann Dobhar for a week when I attended an Irish course in Glean Cholm Cille. It was the best choice! Margaret and her family are very welcoming people and made us feel at home. They also helped with our Irish! The house is really cosy and we got served a wonderful breakfast everyday. Margaret is always... More

Add at least two nights to your palns to stay here. Glencholmcille is a peaceful, subtle place that probably takes years to uncover, so give yourself at least a week here to settle in and scratch the surface. Gleann Dobhar is a perfect place to stay--Martin and Margaret are friendly and keep a good house with good food and good... More

B&Bs have become more and more like small-sized hotels. At Gleann Dobhan you will find the real experience of a B&B "just like the ones I used to know": you will get into the house of a real family, with smiling children running up and down the stairs, sounds of crockery from the kitchen, and photos everywhere. I liked our... More

Martin and Margaret Cunningham and their lovely four kids run a very welcoming B&B with clean comfortable bedrooms, gorgeous fires in their supercosy guest lounge and their breakfasts will easily keep you going till dinner! Margaret's baking is legendary, her brown soda bread one of the best I have ever tasted. I would warmly recommend Teach Gleann Dobhar as a... More

I thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast as a great place to base yourself when you are visiting South West Donegal. The Teach stands on the quiet outskirts of the charming village and you are assured of a good night's sleep in the comfortable rooms. Spotlessly clean and the friendly welcome makes you want to come back for more and... More

We had a wonderful stay at Teach Gleann Dobhar in County Donegal during our recent vacation. Martin was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was perfect, clean and very comforatable. Breakfast in the morning was filled us for a good a part of the day. Martin also provided some great travel and sightseeing ideas. Our only regret was that we... More
