A friend a I recently stayed at this motel to escape our tent and the cold for one night. I was pleasently surprised by the cleanliness and the comfort of our room. The bed was so comfortable and it was nice to be able to cook a meal in our room while watching tv. The owner is very friendly and... More

Collingwood is a sweet little 'town' with an interesting history close to Farewell Spit. The motel as clean and friendly. Eating options are limited, but for those not into cooking, the excellent Courthouse restaurant over the road (not open evenings) will do a platter to take out.

We arrived and were greeted by the hostess and were made to feel very welcome. The facilities were outstanding. We had a great view of the estuary from our motorhome site. Would recommend anyone staying in Collingwood to book a site here.

Travelling on a visit around both NZ Islands for the first time, with my son, who moved to Christchurch a year and a half ago. Found this motel by drive-past. My son has been teaching me how 2 do Apps on my phone, and this place deserves to be first on my list! Really nice room, and the owner, Ann,... More

We stopped in without a booking, best looking accommodation from the outside. It was pricey in comparison to all other accommodation we stayed at in Nelson/Tasman/Marlborough ($140). Clean inside but quite dated style, could do with some refurbishment, exactly what you would expect from a provincial motel. Friendly service, with helpful recommendations. Good location, right in the middle of town,... More

Excellent service and facilities. Very helpful. Stayed in a unit with four beds. Location is very close for shops and restaurants and beach etc and Collingwood is good town to stay and only 30km from start of Heaphy Track.

Just happened to go to Collingwood for the day from Motueka and ended up booking into the Collingwood Park Motel for a few nights. Alan & Ann are great hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Ann gave us some great tips of places to visit and we were not disappointed. This is a lovely quiet place but i think... More

The motel was a good one night stay for us in the middle of this very quiet village. Simple but clean rooms, kids sleep in the upper floor (steep staircase). Breakfast is extra but there is a very nice cafe right opposite of the motel which offers great breakfast served in the garden. Within half an hour drive you are... More

If you want a excellent base for exploring Golden Bay, then this is it. It's not fancy, but it has a great location, clean rooms, rental bikes, a few campervan sites and a great laundry for sorting out all that messy adventure gear. Most importantly, the staff are wonderful. Alan and Ann could not have been more helpful and friendly... More

Clean, comfortable and very nice owners. Close to Wharariki Beach, Farewell spit and The Mussell Inn. The owners, Anne & Alan could not have been more helpful and even picked us up from our New Years party at The Mussell Inn!! (Im not sure this is a commonly offered sevice mind you!) The accommadation, whilst fairly basic, was impeccably clean... More
