We were 2 couples , friends, and found this magnificent spot with the help of Mr. Google. We were welcomed by Sally the host in a very friendly hospitable way and she invited us straightaway to be her quests, to enjoy her not so weedfree garden and to ask her anything we wanted to know or find out about the district.... We came here for 3 nights in december. Sally has been very nice and Giff has been great to take us out for gloworms watching. Gloworms were the highlights but also lake Otuhie track has been a fantastic walk with dramatic lush scenery to a very pure lake. The beachfront drive is also an incredible trip as there is a... Just when we became convinced that this gravel road is leading to nowhere we arrived in this magnificent place. Sally and Giff built two beautiful self-contained cottages adjacent to their home. They are very comfortable, in a beautiful location. Sally and Giff are wonderful hosts, very interesting to talk to. Sally's garden is truly amazing . Giff took us one... More

We spent a very enjoyable time at Wetland View Park, bird song and peace and quiet, fantastic. This accommodation is very well presented and cosy and warm, a very welcoming place to stay. We stayed in early June and we able to get about in only Tee shirts, though we did have jackets if we had needed them. We will... More

Three of us stayed for just two nights in March 2013 at this lovely eco-friendly holiday house. The owners, Sally and Giff live on a small-holding in the glorious wetlands right near the tip of the north Island, and the two small holiday homes are in their grounds. The drive from the nearest town is about 30 km and you... More

This accomodation is definitely off the typical tourist routes, but worth every minute of driving the 30km gravel road. We enjoyed the absolute darkness of this area at night, far away from any bigger settlement. The hosts invited us to a very special goodie after sunset: They allowed us to watch their very hidden treasure, a tiny stream with sweet... More

My husband and I stopped for 2 nights in January with our 6 month old baby. The cabins are lovley and peaceful, they have everything you need and a baby bath and high chair were provided for the little one. The beds are comfy and we all slept well. Sally and Giff are the perfect hosts, we ordered the meal... More

An amazing setting that gets you away from the rat race. Sally and Giff were the perfect hosts that looked after us very well with their great advice and knowledge of the area. The meal was amazing and satisfied two very hungry cyclists. We will be back! Chris and Brenda

We stayed there for two nights last spring. The travel to this remote place is a bit bumpy, yet well rewarded. Especially the beaches are beautiful and you are practically alone there. The host are very nice and the accommodation is just PERFECT! It is really worth going there. CHristoph & Sonya

We spent New Year at Wetlands View Park. We were unfortunate with the weather, the area was suffering from floods and torrential rains so we were unable to explore as much as we would have liked to but we still had a great time. The accommodation is simple but very comfortable with ipod docs for entertainment. The lack of reception... More
