From the moment they rush out to take your luggage up to your room to the time when they wave you goodbye it is totally relaxation, in unashamed luxury. The staff are friendly and speak reasonably good English, the whole place a riot of fabrics (including the fabric covered walls, nothing so common as wallpaper here!). Food is excellent although... more

We feel honored to have stayed in the Chateaux Mirabeau. The staff treated us like old friends and we had absolute impeccable service from start to finish. The rooms are furnished in rich fabric and beds have a lush canopy over them, we felt we were taken back to bygone times. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and... more

We booked this hotel because we wanted a few days of real relaxation. It is set in an unremarkable and small French town which does have a very good bakery where you can sit outside and have coffee and croissants which we did every day for breakfast. Evening meals would probably be harder to find there. We did try to... more

If you want to treat yourself, stay here. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but we tied it into a loop around the Bordeaux region, startin in Bordeaux, going up through Medoc, across the river to Blaye, up to Mirambeau, and down to St. Emillion. It is also great if you want to tie in Cognac, but... more

From the arrival to hotel to the very last second - it was amazing experience. Service is exceptional, property maintained to the highest standard. We loved every minute of it. Restaurant is great, surroundings are magical. We will come back there again many times over. Well done to Baglioni family. more

If this gorgeous hotel is to be compared with the Paris Ritz or George V, it can easily withstand it. Even for 1 night it was the best 5-star hotel stay I can remember. The first (and only) let down was being shown into a different de luxe room from the one I was verbally promised (which had been one... more

This is one of the best Relais and Chateau properties I have stayed at. The room was impeccably decorated. 14 foot high ceiling s and the view was overlooking a fountain. The grounds are estate like. There is a heated indoor and outdoor pool with a small exercise room as well. The staff was warm and friendly and the food... more

This is a special place. The setting couldn't have been more idyllic. The room we stayed in (#6) is large and lavishly decorated. There are high ceilings and 2 small balconies. The bathroom was all white marble with separate tub and shower combination. Although I tend to favor more modern design the public rooms are beautifully decorated. Somehow all the... more

Great hotel, helpful staff. They called us by our name from the moment we arrived. My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon for four nights. If you want a hotel to simply relax and do not want to venture out too much this is the one, no question! However, if you want to visit the vineyards you are... more

We spent three wonderful nights in July 2007 and couldn't have been more pleased. Our room, one of the least expensive, measured 16 X 14 feet and included a separate entry hall with large closet, a reasonably large bathroom with tub/shower and separate WC room. The room was decorated with luxurious fabric on the walls, had a true double bed,... more
