Le château de Mirambeau is a lovely updated ancient French castle with all the modern amenities. Everything is grand! The staff is welcoming and extremely friendly and helpful. The room 22 was up some stairs (above the second floor) but huge and extremely well-appointed! Can't wait to have an excuse to return!

From the time we drove through the gates we all knew it was going to be a special place. And it was, greeted by Ava at the front door who was very friendly and welcoming. This place will take you back in time, the rooms all decorated differently and very comfortable. The staff all helpful and willing to do anything... More

We recently spent 3 nights at the Chateau de Mirambeau and came away raving about the experience. The hotel dates back to before the 100 years war, but has been totally brought up to high 21st century standards without ruining the ancient ambiance. We had a junior suite that was decorated with oriental porcelains; my wife still talks about them.... More

This Chateau was spectacular. Walking in I felt like I went back in time. The rooms are quaint and each one is decorated in a different colour. The staff are wonderful. We were greeted by Ava and she made us feel special the whole of our stay. I highly recommend having a meal at the Michelin Star restaurant in the... More

We stayed there for 2 nights last week. This place is one of the rare luxury places in South West France and for those looking for top level hotels in historical castles it deserves being strongly recommended, both for the historical atmosphere that was carefully kept and also for the comfort and high level quality one expects in a 5... We recently spent three nights at the Chateau de Mirambeau and recommend it highly. The building is stunning and the location great with wonderful views. We received a warm welcome and the staff were helpful and friendly at all times. Our room was on the second floor and was spacious with an enormous, light, bathroom. We enjoyed breakfast in the... We came at the recommenation of good friends - and it does not disappoint. You are cared for from the time you arrive with water and a rest as your reservation is confirmed and your luggage moved to the room. To the room servicing, to the breakfasts that are lovely in an equisite west facing terrace room, the the 7... More

Beautiful chateau and beautiful rooms, grounds were stunning and the restaurant worth a few more visits. Lovely and helpful staff. Although June the outdoor pool was unable to be used as it wasn't warm enough, however the indoors pool is nice, much nicer than in the photos. Highly recommended.

Driving up the driveway at the Chateau Mirmabeau is a sight to behold. A beautiful building with a great setting in a park. A large lawn with a view from the room or the restaurant makes this a worthwhile stop while driving through this region of France. It should be said that the town itself is quite modest and it... It costs a lot, but what the hell. You don't arrive at this sort of place very often and you are a long time dead! Been to a few Relais et chateaux properties and this is one of the best. Cracking restaurant- M. Geays oeufs on the menu? Do not miss them. Staff are a delight: attentive, but with confidence... More
