This was the highlight of our trip through Bordeaux this fall. Our room was immense. A wonderful bathroom (for my wife) Turndown service with candles at the bedside. The restaurant definitely a Michelin chef.

We spent three nights at the Mirambeau, with breakfast and dinner each day. The interior has kept its original construction with the resulting sense of chateau living, rather than staying in a hotel. We had room #3, and it was spacious, beautifully furnished with a lovely bathroom and long windows overlooking the park-like rear of the property. The staff was... More

The hotel is beautifully remodeled in the style of the time. The room was large and beautiful. It had a great view of the lawns and garden. We had diner at the restaurant, where the service was fabulous and the food was delicious. The problem arpuse when we got to the room: it was ver warm and we like to... More

This chateau is breathtaking- it is the most beautiful property I've ever stayed at and yet it left something to be desired. The front desk service was impeccable but the restaurant staff was average at best. The food was good but we did not appreciate the sommelier's choice of wine and the service was slow. In addition we received massages... More

This (corporate) cousin of the excellent Chateau de Codignat in the Massif Central (also a Relais and Chateaux member) is much grander, but shares with the Chateau de Codignat sharp attention to detail and to service. I had a truly magnificent room (Number 4), in which I felt like royalty. The staff are uniformly efficient, effective and friendly, the grounds... More

Chateau de Mirambeau is a wonderful chateau to experience what it was like to live life in the 18th century but with all the conveniences of modern living. The Chateau has been completely renovated. My suite was very comfortable with a modern bathroom. Chateau de Mirambeau sits between the famous Cognac area and the Bordeaux wine areas of France. It... More

Le château de Mirambeau is a lovely updated ancient French castle with all the modern amenities. Everything is grand! The staff is welcoming and extremely friendly and helpful. The room 22 was up some stairs (above the second floor) but huge and extremely well-appointed! Can't wait to have an excuse to return!

From the time we drove through the gates we all knew it was going to be a special place. And it was, greeted by Ava at the front door who was very friendly and welcoming. This place will take you back in time, the rooms all decorated differently and very comfortable. The staff all helpful and willing to do anything... More

We recently spent 3 nights at the Chateau de Mirambeau and came away raving about the experience. The hotel dates back to before the 100 years war, but has been totally brought up to high 21st century standards without ruining the ancient ambiance. We had a junior suite that was decorated with oriental porcelains; my wife still talks about them.... More

This Chateau was spectacular. Walking in I felt like I went back in time. The rooms are quaint and each one is decorated in a different colour. The staff are wonderful. We were greeted by Ava and she made us feel special the whole of our stay. I highly recommend having a meal at the Michelin Star restaurant in the... More
