We stayed at the Hotel last new year 2013/2014 for three nights and really enjoyed and Kim, Cherin and the staff could not do enough for you bend over backwards would be the phase I would use. This morning rang the hotel to see what was going on for New Year this year not too much to ask since it's... More

We went for 3 nights with friends, and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is comfortable and very clean. It has an oldy wordly charm about it especially in the lounge and bar area. The bedrooms were very good especially the bathrooms which look as though they have been recently refurbished. On our arrival it was sad to find out that... More

I was here 2 weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The rooms are modern and comfortable, reception areas a bit dated but it is an old house and appropriate. Food was lovely. Alcoholic drinks rather pricey. Staff lovely and couldn't do enough for youl. Unfortunately it has gone into administration and the administrators have put a couple in to... More

When I go to Ravenstone Manor I feel like I am visiting and old family friend. The furnishing as not new and slick but old world which gives it charm. From the time you step foot in the entry to the time you leave it is evident that everyone loves their job. No requests to big or to small. One... More

At Ravenstone Manor, my wife and I celebrated her birthday on September 17th and 61 years of marriage on 19th. Each member of staff was lovely, very pleasant, attentive and made us feel important. On our Anniversary we were presented with a couple of bottles of 'Moscato' and my wife with a birthday card from the Ravenstone family and staff.... More

Have been staying at this hotel on and off for nearly 30 years and have always had a fantastic time there, we honeymooned there 25 years ago and thought there would be no better place to spend our 25th wedding anniversary, and this last stay was 'simply the best'. The hotel itself hasn't changed much in that time although, the... More

The stairs creak louder than my old bones, but it is a good sound. It is the sound of an older but well loved building which promises comfort and care for all who stay there. My wife and I stayed in Room 3 over a weekend In September. This had a 4 poster bed with views over to Bassenthwaite lake... More

My husband and I have been staying at the Ravenstone, on and off, for the last 40 years. It is a wonderful hotel and setting, the currant owners and staff cannot do enough to help and certainly made our celebratory stay in June a truly memorable experience. The free canapés served in the lounge before your evening meal is a... More
