Lovely country hotel, cosy room with lovely new bathroom. Great views and ideal location for travelling around the Lakes. We used the restaurant on both evenings and the food was of excellent quality and well cooked, only downside is that there is no steak on the menu !! Excellent breakfast also. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely revist.

My sister and I stayed here for a couple of nights last weekend and we would definately visit again. All the staff were really friendly, the hotel is cosy with real fires and wood panelling everywhere. Our ensuite had underfloor heating which was the cherry on top!

Stayed here for 2 nights after getting an offer emailed via a third party site. The hotel is really quaint and full of character, our room was really nice with a lovely outlook over the lake. It seems the place is undergoing some transition ownership wise at the moment and I really hope that it goes well. I think that the... More

My wife and I booked into the Ravenstone Manor Fri-Sun. I have stopped in many hotels all over and this really has been the most pleasant experience I have had. Although check-in was a little slower than average, we were greeted by one of the proprietors who was on reception alone (as it is a very intimate area) after finishing... More

We booked a couple of days for a short notice getaway to get out into the countryside, and could not have been happier at the Ravenstone Manor. The location is very picturesque, the hotel is a lovely, homely feeling place, with exceptional staff, who were happy to do everything they could to make our stay not only comfortable and enjoyable,... The Ravenstone Manor has bags of charm. It's warm and cosy like having a cuddle from your grandma. I'd guess one could say it is rather outdated, but there-in lies it's character. It is certainly well kept and clean. Although currently under administration, the Scottish couple running it apparently have made some quick-win improvements not least the amazing value room-rate... We went for 3 nights with friends, and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is comfortable and very clean. It has an oldy wordly charm about it especially in the lounge and bar area. The bedrooms were very good especially the bathrooms which look as though they have been recently refurbished. On our arrival it was sad to find out that... More

I was here 2 weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The rooms are modern and comfortable, reception areas a bit dated but it is an old house and appropriate. Food was lovely. Alcoholic drinks rather pricey. Staff lovely and couldn't do enough for youl. Unfortunately it has gone into administration and the administrators have put a couple in to... More
