I visited the gran Melia with friends and family for 5 days. Overall a great experience! I recommend the red level experience. I checked in on Thursday earlier than I expected. Honestly from all the reviews I was afraid of what I had gotten myself and my family in to! I checked in through the regular check in... That was... More

Far away from everything and taxis are expensive. The service, food, furniture, and beach are all bad. The costs are unreasonable. The pool is nice, but that is about the only thing that I enjoyed. Avoid.

The hotel was ok, nothing special. The food was extremely expensive and limited. The beach was very rocky and had huge boulders along the waters edge. The pool was large and the in pool beach chairs were a nice feature. The staff was average. Room service was terrible. 3 times we needed to ask for extra towels as they only... More

If you plan to relax and dont want to stress about where to wind & dine this is the place. Beach and pool are ok. Rooms are excellent especially the beds. Dont eat the pizza at Luiguis. No way you can call that pizza.

I visited the Gran Melia a few years back with my boyfriend for a whole week and we had the best time. The service was amazing and the resort itself was just beautiful. A few friends/family members have gone to Puerto Rico since and I always recommend this place. I can't wait to plan another trip to Puerto Rico and... More

Gran Melia is a notheastern resort hotel in its own point by the coast. Our check in took 25 minutes and we were 2nd in line. They hold $500 on your credit card prior to receiving your keys. They will charge you $50 per lost beach towel ( you must return 4 or 4 beach towel cards. The pool is... More

*We stayed 2 nights during Tropical Storm Erika. While the hotel was cautious as to not let anyone in their pools and beach (which we appreciate) - it wasn't a pleasant stay. Rooms: The rooms are outdated, couches are ripped and our toilet was broken which leaked all over the floor (maintenance quickly fixed it). The fridge was completely empty... More

This hotel is nice if you want quietness and relaxation. But it's to far from anything and there's not much around hotel unless you have a car. Food there is ridiculously expensive. But it's beautiful
