Staying at the Gran Melia was a wonderful experience. Everyone there made me feel very special. I especially would like to mention Ruben at the Red Level pool, and Paola and Nilda at the Red Level Lounge. All of the staff convince you that it is a pleasure to serve you. And the setting is gorgeous. So is the weather.... More

My husband and I just returned from a 5 night stay in Puerto Rico. We stayed at the Gran Melia Golf Resort. We cannot say enough about our stay, it was fabulous. The customer service was extraordinary- every single person we dealt with was friendly, helpful, and kind. The resort itself is beautiful. We loved sitting out by the ocean... More

We did our research and knew about the parking $15 day fee. The hotel is beautiful and perfect for couples...nightly bar area is nice. If you have kids, stay at the Wyndham Rio Mar. (We stayed one night---and my kids loved it---water slide & better swimming & boogie board beach) We stayed for 3 nights with our family of 4... More

The Gran Melia in Rio Grande is beautiful! The property is lovely and very expansive. My family and I vacationed there during Spring Break and stayed in the Club Melia suites which have a separate pool from the main pool area and the suites have a kitchenette. They are very roomy for a family of 4+. They were very busy... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel to celebrate our 6 year anniversary and it was well worth it. I extremely recommend to upgrade to the red level for perks such as butler service, private pool and pool bar and cabana rentals, complimentary check in drinks and free breakfast at the cafe. The breakfast was beyond expectation as it... More

The Gran Melia in Rio Grande was absolutely beautiful. Lovely beaches, rocky and lots of seaweed, but calm, warm waters. When we walked out of our room the beach was stunning. However, the customer service was very disappointing. After paying for red level, supposedly butler service, free breakfast (HORRIBLE FOOD), and a private pool (that we never used-we went for... My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon at the Gran Melia and thought it was perfect! The staff was so helpful and friendly, and the resort is gorgeous! We went through a travel agency, and booked a red level ocean front junior suite. With this, we received FREE breakfast buffet (which was amazing!) and happy hour drinks/hors devours,... More

Beautiful property Perfect to stay put without rental car. If you plan on sightseeing a car is a must. Spent a lot of time In the mountains (family in cayey) a bit in San Juan. Prices are high for food in resort. The puerto rician restaurant was fabulous. Breakfast spot buffet was perfect. Had an emergency and needed abulance staff... More

Let's start with - Keep in mind that going on vacation during Spring Break with 750 religious retreat members definitely changes the vibe of any resort. Drive into Resort - about 2-3 miles with 12 speed bumps and two security checkpoints Parking for Rental Car - about $115 for a week Front Desk - very little contact as we had... More

Been here 3 times now and its always the same issue. Check-in, Check-out long waits. One time I spent almost 2 hours trying to Check-In and I didn't even get a complimentary drink. This time I also saw that the Jacuzzi were not working and the pool was dirty on the bottom. I guess Its time to move on to... More
