Should forget the rooms and just be a pub. Rooms filthy, stairs filthy, waitress hopeless, no way of opening tiny skylight in prison-like room, no way of changing air con temp so room was 25 degrees... tiny shower.. Terrible breakfast. Avoid it.

With proper management (see previous comments further down) this pub/restaurant could be a real winner. On the positive side, the location is perfect, with convenient off-road parking, and the room we stayed in (the Tudor Room) was bright and airy and had air conditioning. The bed was extremely comfortable and the towels fresh and new. A hairdresser was available for... More

Stayed here at the weekend for 1 night. First impressions were great, quaint little village pub/hotel but once in the room we were disappointed. The bedroom was quite small and the bathroom was extremely pokey. We were charged £75.00 room only and I feel that this is extremely over priced. I'd say the room is actually worth about £45-£50 a... On arrival at Henfield, me and my boyfriend were very excited by the rustic charm of the highstreet and the pub itself was delightful and oldy-worldy. We were informed at the desk that they would only take a cash payment and we should have been called about the matter before, which we weren't (a little embarrassing, but we were told... More

Stayed here thinking it would be a nice place to stop while working in the area. Upon checking in I found out that they were not serving food and advised to go down the road to another establishment. Also not breakfast! Then when I came to pay I was advised that the card machine was not working so had to... More

Well what can I say. The locals in Henfield are lovely. The George hotel is not so. It was clean. That's all I can say. Told when we arrived that there was no dinner in the restaurant as she closed at 8. It was a Saturday night. Also no breakfast included as no staff. What annoys me there were 12... More
