Stayed here for two nights with my partner. The bed and breakfast was going through a transition due to the previous owners going into retirement. We were welcomed with open arms and given plenty of advice about the Island. The very kind gentleman took us to a nearby restaurant and then picked us up! Breakfast was wholesome and filling, the... Shangri-La, offers the absolute best bed and breakfast accommodations in the Cayman Islands and having travelled extensively myself I can say that I have not seen an equivalent in quality, ambiance, luxury service levels and exquisite food, all of which are best described as being a guest in a tropical version of an English country manor house hosting visitors of... We are so glad we booked our three week holiday in Grand Cayman at the Shangri-La. This bed and breakfast is absolutely first choice for everything it offers, starting from the management (Gillian and Duncan), their incredible breakfast which was different each day. We never had the same breakfast twice in the three weeks we were there. It´s so filling... More

It was our first time to the Islands and somehow we got lost! The owners came to our rescue in the dark and guided us to the B&B. This really sums up our stay at the Shangri-La B&B. Great people, great location, great food, and great accommodations. Every day there was an awesome breakfast, and it's out of the way... More

I don't even know where to begin...this place is AMAZING. When we first stayed here in February 2012, we had the pleasure of meeting George and Maureen - they were wonderful. When we returned three years later, in February of 2015, the place was being ran by their daughter Gillian and her husband Duncan. Gillian and Duncan make you feel... More

We had a 1 night stopover in Grand Cayman and Shangri-La had a room for us. It is worth the 15 minute taxi ride from the airport. Gillian and Duncan welcomed us with open arms, they were splendid hosts. The house is fantastic and charming set on the banks a of a small lake. We were given a room separate... More

Wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the Cayman Palm room which was magnificent and relaxing. The room is separate from the main house and directly in front of the pool, which was nice. The breakfasts were delicious, different options everyday and presented beautifully. The hosts are fantastic people. Down to earth, welcoming and knowledgable about Cayman. They have pool... More

This is a beautiful guest house on a lake in the West Bay section of Grand Cayman. We had a beautiful room with a balcony in the main house. The rooms all differ in size, price and amenities but we thought the price was a bargain regardless of which room you choose. Ours was a decent size room and the... More

We just returned from spending three nights at the Shangri-la. The room was clean and beautiful with a small refrigerator and a set of DVD's for us to watch. Gillian and Duncan could not have been more helpful. They told us where to go snorkeling and set up a dive trip for us. The breakfasts were lovely and large!!! This... More

Most importantly, the Shangri-La is a very pleasant guesthouse run by charming and attentive hosts. Some minor flaws are recognised and being attended to by the owners. So probably will have disappeared by the time new bookings are made and taken up. The decision prospective guests have to make is whether the quiet location is more important than proximity to...
