Welcome and available staff. Room comfortable and clean (as was ensuite bathroom) with free biscuits and very quick wifi. Impressed at attention to detail (often lacking in hotels). Large free car park. Good breakfasts. Good pub within walking distance (Kings Arms) and other shops and facilities a short drive away.

we stayed here last year whilst attending a family funeral. The room was well equipped and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was included in the price and was of a good standard with the usual options being available from a self service bar. A nice touch was the receptionist helping to carry out cases to the 1st floor where the... More

We have just returned from 2 nights at The Bridge House Hotel. Fantastic location, very relaxing, friendly staff. We have to stay in a disabled room as you can see from my other reviews. Room was a lovely size, very hard to get into the bed as the beside shelves which were part of the headboard were extremely close. They... More

Thank you for your review, we have a choice of rooms which offer varied disabled access, I will look into this and see if we can improve on the accessibility in the room. As for the Carvery, I would like to assure you that we do not use frozen roast potatoes. As a small family business we strive to offer... More

My husband and I have just spent 2 nights at the Bridge House Hotel, a really good find. Room although not huge was very comfortable and clean. Bed was very comfortable with decent pillows. Shower above the bath was excellent, water pressure brilliant, although towels were only bath size we did have 2 each. There is a carvery every night... More

I went here yesterday and had the carvery. The gammon was nice, however pretty much everything else was poor. Rock hard roast potatoes, soggy cabbage, and tasteless cauliflower cheese. A friend had the ribs which were burnt, and when he complained the chef sent word from the kitchen that he was wrong and they were fine. The room in which... More

I was disappointed to read your review, as we have refurbished the restaurant and have a brand new function room, that we also use for diners on Sunday. The comment you make about the room being tired is surprising, it has been freshly painted and new furniture etc has been purchased and we have very good comments about the food... More

Hotel reminded me of a Premier Inn. The bed was very comfortable. Shower hot and powerful. Hospitality tray with plenty of tea and coffee, (though no decaf or green tea). Room quite spacious. Only fault was it was on the front with main road outside, if I had not had a good drink of wine the evening before the road... More

I stayed for one night on a business trip. The hotel was a good standard clean hotel with lovely views across the River Stour. The bar was OK but a bit big and soulless, I didn't eat at the hotel but there is only the pub over the road as an alternative if you don't fancy driving. Breakfast was an additional... More

Stayed here for three nigts. Super new refurbishment in rooms. Only downfall is small towels. Sort of basic but super clean ,great housekeeping team. Riverside rooms quieter, away from traffic. Food Excellant value, and again friendly helpful staff. Would stay again.

we really enjoyed our two night break at this hotel, the staff were excellent, everything was clean to a high standard. It was comfortable in the library to read or have after dinner drinks. The carvery looked fresh and appetizing, we ate off of the specials board my husband really enjoyed the chicken madras and my-self the grilled plaice. The... More
