I would like to point out the mistakes made about this excellent dog friendly hotel. The old dog mentioned has been a guest there for the last eight years staying for periods of five to seven nights three or four times a year. It has always been a dog friendly hotel and advertised as such. We are not allowed into... More

We have just returned from our second stay at the Warkworth House Hotel this bank holiday weekend and feel very strongly that we would like to redress the balance and tirade of adverse comments made about the smell of dog hair and attitude of staff. Our experience couldn't have been more different. It is very refreshing to be able to... More

Such a lovely welcome! Very comfortable room and unbelievably quiet. Excellent food - everything freshly cooked and prepared by the chef. Warkworth itself is a beautiful village in a great location to walk the coastline and visit castles, etc. Highly recommended!

A nice overnight stay in a lovely old village. Beautifully decorated room, good bathroom and good breakfast. Very fair value. Road noise not a problem despite the location. A picture postcard village with the opportunity of a relaxing stroll before breakfast.

I stayed previously here a couple of years ago and it was wonderful so as we were visiting friends in Warkworth I had no hesitation in phoning to book a room. We were told a suite was £109 and a room £89 so booked a suite which we were told was quiet and overlooked the car park. We arrived just... More

When this gentleman checked in and complained about a smell in his room, we immediately moved him to another room. The room was checked over by the housekeeping staff and the management and we could not detect any smell of dogs. Our housekeeping staff have extremely high standards and we have never had a complaint about the rooms smelling of... More

We stayed for 3 nights in this lovely, spotlessly clean hotel. Staff were all outstanding, friendly and efficient at all times. Our room, the Tudor room, had been very recently and tastefully refurbished. The food was excellent and we could choose to eat in the restaurant or in the bar with our dog. Dogs were made very welcome with biscuits behind... More

Stayed here for two nights. We had the bay room which was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. No noise from the small car park or other residents. The staff were really friendly and helpful. All the amenities you would want in your room. Good breakfast with a choice of full English, kippers, eggs and salmon and the usual cereal, fruit... More

We had 3 rooms booked here for a wedding in Warkworth. The staff were outstanding - helpful and always available to serve or answer questions. Room 23 is excellent - 2 flights of stairs but well worth the climb. Breakfast service was excellent, and the whole stay was a pleasure

Excellent spot, friendly staff, nice atmosphere in bar and very interesting draft beer. Restaurant also good, but dishes not quite as expected, superb moules but served with big chunky chips rather than frites. Chicken Pan Haggerty nothing like the real thing - succulent chicken but with unctuous mash and some lardons. Vegetables almost uncooked apart from nice new potatoes. I've... More

Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was lovely, very very clean, with nice bed linen, towels etc. The restaurant and food were great, we had sea trout the evening we ate there and it was yummy. Warkworth is a lovely place and this hotel is a great base. 100% recommend this hotel - thanks for a nice stay.
