After reading the mainly positive reviews on here I was hopeful that the short break we had planned based at this hotel with the pooch would be good..... we were not disappointed and no sign of anything that other people have complained about. Staff were welcoming and friendly, the room we had (No. 5) was excellent and absolutely spotless, I... More

Having struggled to find any suitable accommodation along the Northumberland coast on a Summer Saturday afternoon, we were relieved to find that this hotel had just one room left, so we booked it for 2 nights. Whilst the price was at the top end of our budget, we were very pleased with the welcoming staff, the excellent meals, and the... More

We ate in the restaurant here - have to say it was truly excellent. The staff are superb and couldn't be nicer. The bar area is very friendly and informal, with a lovely range of ales. The restaurant itself is lovely with nice crisp, white tablecloths, and tables well spaced apart. The value for money is brilliant, not overpriced. The... More

I have just visited the warkworth house hotel in northumberland and i was very pleased with this fabulous find. We were greeted with a fabulous cheery welcome and shown our lovely rooms. During our time at the time we could not complain about the cleanliness of the rooms, quality or choice of food or amazing hospitality of the owner Eric... More

My wife and I came to Warkworth Village for a 5 day break in magnificent Northumberland from 24th - 29th August 2014. We stayed at Westrigg House near the village. We were recommended to the Warkworth House Hotel for our evening dinner on 24th August, and managed to get the last table! The 3 course Dinner was truly excellent!! The... More

I would like to point out the mistakes made about this excellent dog friendly hotel. The old dog mentioned has been a guest there for the last eight years staying for periods of five to seven nights three or four times a year. It has always been a dog friendly hotel and advertised as such. We are not allowed into... More

We have just returned from our second stay at the Warkworth House Hotel this bank holiday weekend and feel very strongly that we would like to redress the balance and tirade of adverse comments made about the smell of dog hair and attitude of staff. Our experience couldn't have been more different. It is very refreshing to be able to... More

Such a lovely welcome! Very comfortable room and unbelievably quiet. Excellent food - everything freshly cooked and prepared by the chef. Warkworth itself is a beautiful village in a great location to walk the coastline and visit castles, etc. Highly recommended!

A nice overnight stay in a lovely old village. Beautifully decorated room, good bathroom and good breakfast. Very fair value. Road noise not a problem despite the location. A picture postcard village with the opportunity of a relaxing stroll before breakfast.

I stayed previously here a couple of years ago and it was wonderful so as we were visiting friends in Warkworth I had no hesitation in phoning to book a room. We were told a suite was £109 and a room £89 so booked a suite which we were told was quiet and overlooked the car park. We arrived just... More

When this gentleman checked in and complained about a smell in his room, we immediately moved him to another room. The room was checked over by the housekeeping staff and the management and we could not detect any smell of dogs. Our housekeeping staff have extremely high standards and we have never had a complaint about the rooms smelling of... More
