A great place to stay. Very attentive staff who all enjoy their work taking pride in delivering an enjoyable experience for guests Great food great beer and dog friendly. The river walk with the back drop of the castle is beautiful. All makes for an ideal break.

Beautifully quaint period hotel decorated to a very high standard. Extremely clean facilities (in the middle of cleaning while we were there). Staff were very welcoming and had clearly had silver service training. Promptly open at 10am with top quality fresh filter coffee. The tea was good too. The bar area was very relaxed and not over crowded. We did... More

Six of us stayed here for two nights over the Easter weekend. It was the best place we stayed whilst walking the Northumberland Coastal path. The rooms were good and very clean. The staff were great, really helpful and friendly. Warkworth itself is a beautiful town with a wonderful castle. Highly recommended.

We visited the bistro at the Warkworth House hotel on a Sunday evening when eating opportunities in Warkworth seem limited. The restaurant was fully booked and looked nice so we were shown to the bistro or bar. The decoration was tried and could do with a freshen-up but the waitresses were reasonably efficient. It was busy and obviously welcomes dogs... More

A perfect (very) dog friendly hotel to explore Northumberland. The town itself has lot's to offer. Room was immaculate (felt guilty having the dog in there) a little warm, even with the heating off. Staff and food were excellent. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.

Pleasant staff but very poor food. The Welsh Rarebit is a few lumps of cheese on a crumpet with some tired salad. Others sandwiches very basic. The lovely Georgian exterior belies a tasteless modernisation inside which is saddening for what must once have bee quite grand in it's way. As tired as the lettuce.

We popped in on a little visit to Warkworth, we were pleased to find a dog-friendly place for a bar lunch. Welcoming and friendly staff. The soup (Celeriac and rosemary) was absolutely gorgeous, and my husband enjoyed his Welsh Rarebit Crumpet. The children liked their BLTs too. Would recommend to families especially those with nice little furry friends.

On our holiday in Walkworth we visited the Walkworth House Hotel for Sunday Lunch and really enjoyed it. The hotel is quite old fashioned in a good way, a nice bar area, where dogs are allowed and the bar man is friendly. There is a lovely old country style sitting room/lounge area and dining room with small conservatory set with... More

We ate in the hotel's Bistro, which is warm and cosy. The food is tasty, but the waiter service needs attention. The hot food was put on cold plates. The vegetables arrived ten minutes later. We asked the waiter to re-warm the main course, since the meat had gone cold on the cold plates, but he seemed surprised by this.... More
