Warkworth Old Post Office B & B Pros: Clean & Comfortable Cons: Nothing to speak of. Room was clean and small, but comfortable. It was slightly noisy as we were right over the restaurant and social area of this establishment. Hosts were friendly, and provided access to free tea, hot chocolate, and instant coffee. There was a small mini bar... More

We stayed two nights at start of November and cannot speak highly enough of this charming B and B. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was huge and very comfortable. Our little whippet Monica was very warmly welcomed by the owners, which really made the holiday for us. Everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were excellent. We... More

We stayed two nights in late October and couldn't have hit on more superior accommodation. The room was really excellent and the provisions for tea, coffee, other drinks and snacks was way more than one would expect in a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was brilliant with a diverse choice and beautifully presented and cooked. Northumbrian griddlecakes or the full breakfast... More

We stayed here whilst walking St Oswald's Way. It was the best accommodation we had on the whole trip. Beautifully appointed, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, we had a great welcome. Wonderful breakfast - you must try the Northumberland griddle cakes, you won't find them anywhere else Thanks Dobbin

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of July, and everything was excellent. The room was immaculate with lots of additional touches - filter coffee, fresh milk, biscuits, wine, toiletries etc. Richard and Helen made us very welcome. Breakfasts are superb - you need to be hungry to eat the full breakfast ! We ate in the Bistro one... More

Excellent bed and breakfast with the added advantage of bistros at weekends. Great decor with lots of thoughtful touches. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others. Tip: book into the bistros if you are staying Fri or Sat.

Only stayed 1 night for a wedding reception. Great location - no allocated parking but lots across road. A listed building with a clean and modern feel - clean being the operative word. Immaculate. Owners Richard and Helen cannot do enough to make you feel welcome and ensure you have a perfect stay. Breakfast was awesome!!! You MUST try it!!

Thank you for your lovely words: Rich would have to be dragged onto '4 in a bed' kicking and screaming and I'm not sure if we could cope with all this mattress lifting and crawling around looking for hairs! Best wishes, Helen and Rich More

A friend and I recently walked St Oswald's Way, staying at B&Bs along the route between Lindisfarne and Hadrian's Wall, and the Old Post Office was outstanding. The room wasn't large, but it was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds, an excellent shower, and everything we could possibly need (corkscrew, milk etc) was supplied, and there was a... What praise indeed! Thank you for your wonderful review and we're pleased that your stay added to your St. Oswald's Way walk. When we get some free time we're thinking of doing the whole route (instead of just sections) and so we can be on the receiving end of Northumberland hospitality! Kind regards, Helen and Rich More

Stayed at The Old Post Office for a few days in early August....great place. Rooms, breakfast and location superb. Helen and Richards local knowledge is invaluable as they know where to go and just as important where not! Nice beach just a walk away and everything else on the doorstep....just go and see for yourself! LP and M
