What a wonderful place to stay.....it was more like a boutique hotel! It's first class! Mandy was so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. She was so helpful with my husbands dairy free requirements. We would definately recommend this lovely place to stay to anyone visiting Warkworth and Northumberland.

There are some cons listed below but they are pretty minor. As evident by my 5-rating, this is a lovely place to stay. Pros Lovely big bath Beautiful soft furnishings in the Morris room - I couldn't stop looking at them A fully served and absolutely lovely breakfast (made me feel special) Complimentary liqueurs and home (?) baking Quiet, though... Had a lovely 6 night stay at Fairfield Guesthouse which is better than most hotels I have stayed in. Our first holiday in Northumberland and we could not believe our luck with beautiful blue skies and sunshine and such a lovely place to stay in. The trip to the Farne Islands to see the breeding puffins ,guilimots and terms was... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our week’s stay here in July 2014. Mandy welcomed us with tea and scones and was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We moved rooms partway through the week due to other bookings and that was done for us effortlessly and without fuss. Both rooms (Sanderson and Mackintosh) were lovely, with views of Mandy’s beautiful garden, and... More

We will be the 97th consecutive "excellent" review!!!! We give Fairfield House a diamond award and found it to be an amazing place to stay. Comfortable, welcoming, amazing breakfasts, lovely hosts and close to lots of wonderful places to visit, quiet and relaxing, a grand house and the gardens are better than some show gardens we've seen. Attention to detail... More

I am going to be the 96th consecutive "excellent" review for this wonderful establishment and not without good reason. From the welcome on arrival with tea and cake on the terrace overlooking the picturesque garden to the Morris Room which frankly was better than some 4 star hotels we've stayed in. Loads of information in the room and in the... More

Fairfield house is a very grand Victorian house which is maintained to a very high standard. It boasts many period features including a fantastic garden, high ceilings, original fireplaces and the Victorian conservatory to name a few. From the moment we arrived out host was very friendly and attentive. She was able to accommodate my dietary needs without any concern... More

Modern, luxuriously-appointed and totally peaceful, the Garden Apartment at Fairfield House has to be one of Britain’s best holiday lets for two people. A secluded annex to the main house, it is only a few minutes’ walk from the village centre and less than a mile from the beach. We spent a delightful week in this retreat at the end... More

We were walking the Northumbrian Coast path, staying in a number of similarly priced B&Bs en route. We got off to a great start at Fairfield House. It’s a rather grand Victorian house (large rooms, high ceilings, wide staircase with stained glass), set back from a quiet road, with a lovely garden to the rear and ample parking at the... More
