We stayed here for just one night in early September, en route to the ferry. La Goelette is located in the middle of this very pretty village and it's a short walk down to the harbour and restaurants. Peter is discreet but helpful, a quiet and charming host. The house is old and lovely; our room clean, quiet and spacious,... More

What a lovely place to stay, and what a great host! I really enjoyed my short time at the charming La Goelette which has been tastefully renovated and is very comfortable. The village of St Suliac is very charming and there are two good restaurants within a short walk of this bed and breakfast. Peter is a superb host and... More

Friendly welcome from Peter, and a great base in St Suliac from which to enjoy kayaking on the River Rance. Comfortable, quiet room, nice breakfast, all sorts of information in the communal lounge, shop and restaurants in the village.

We rang the bell and got a warm welcome from Peter. He has renovated his charming house very much in keeping with its character. The rooms are pleasing in their colours and appropriate simplicity. Very comfortable bed. We much appreciated an outstanding breakfast with perfect croissants, bread, jams, fresh orange juice and good strong coffee. We recommend a stay here... More

We, a young Swiss couple, had a beautiful time at Peter's chambres d'hôtes and stayed for 3 nights. We could have stayed even longer - Saint Suliac and the Rance valley is a must see! Peter is as charming as his BnB and very helpful and friendly as well. The BnB is located in the heart the small village of... More

The only unpleasant thing was Peter (the owner) rooted for Spain, instead of Italy, at the tv match (Football European Cup final 2012). The house is quiet, typical and confortable. We enjoyed it. High quality/prce ratio. Saint Suliac is a lovely place, very close to other interesting places: Saint Malo etc. A good solution for families with 2 children

We had a beautiful experience at La Goelette! The owner is very kind and the b&b is cosy and calm, set in the hearth of Saint Suliac. We had a large clean room with bathroom and a good breakfast with bread, jam and croissant gently served by Peter in a nice upper floor room. La Goelette it's a very charming... More

We've visited Normandy and Brittany this August and we've spent some days by "La Goelette" in Saint Suliac. Beautiful and very charming "chambre d'hotes",Peter Sobeck was very welcoming without being intrusive. The rooms are very large, clean and quiet. The breakfast was super, fresh bread, croissant, jams, milk, chocolate...etc....all was perfect! Saint Suliac is a little jewel near St. Malo,... More

We found the owner unfriendly and rude. He does not supply one with a key to get in the house so we had to rely on him opening for us. At one stage he left my husband and son in the street for 15 minutes even though he was in the house and they rang the bell many times. I... More

But Mrs. Loosay, why did you not precise, that when I made you wait a couple of minutes (not more) , it was because I could not hear them ringing during using vacuum cleaner and that I friendly apologized for it, without any rudeness ? You came to me, angry, and let me know that someone was ringing. More

The family room is very large and clean. Althought the low windows might give you kittens if you have inquisitive toddlers. Peter was a good host without being too intrusive. The homemade buns for breakfast delicious. La Goellette is very handy for St Malo ferries, about a 20 min drive away.
