Excellent value for money, friendly, helpful, clean. The back stairs to the room were a bit grubby (cream carpet/high traffic), but the room itself was much better than expected from the photos. As there were a lot of cars in the car park (It must be good, right?!), we just stopped by and popped in for lunch today when passing through Upavaon. Had a delicious homemade Irish Stew and a wonderful homemade plum and port crumble. Excellent value and the landlord and family were very chatty and welcoming. Well worth a return... More

Stayed for one night. Room fantastic-best shower ever; wide screen tv; great bed; 2 chairs !, and v.clean. Had booked a meal in a pub in the next village-the landlord took us and his daughter picked us up! What service! We left with a warm glow as to how we were treated!

A wonderful pub, with great atmosphere, great food, and the staff really friendly. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the bedroom. Just refurbished, stunning bathroom, with power shower, and a super Kingsize bed that you get lost in. Highly recommended.

Really nice pub with above average, very tasty food and great staff and service. Good menu choice using lots of seasonal products. We went due to having a Groupon voucher, but will happily return and pay full price. Try the burger - It's HUGE :)
