First if all, Castelmezzano is the most beautiful "borgo" where I went for a run. The running route can be seen from the terrace of this gorgeous hotel: you open the window of you room and the Dolomite are right there! The view is stunning, the room very comfortable, the restaurant connected to the hotel is a culinary experience and... More

One of the roads to the town is blocked at present but we got there eventually. Hotel is actually easy to spot if you know the Italian sign for inns. Plain room but comfortable and a balcony overlooking the view which is stunning. Lovely dinner in the hotel with good wine. Car parking easy nearby. Very helpful staff. Great and... More

Amazing town but little choice of accommodation. This hotel was fairly basic but clean and the views form the rooms and terrace amazing. We had a room on the bottom floor, level 1 and reception was level 5. Unfortunately no wifi at all down at level 1 and we had to go to level 3, restaurant or the reception or... More

I spent just one night in this property and I had a great stay. All the staff are very friendly and warm and they are keen to help their guests and accomplish all requests. The location is perfect ad the rooms are very confortable. They have also a balcony in each room with a superb view. Definitely a place to... More

This hotel is quite adequate... nothing special, nothing to complain about. Breakfast is good and the rooms are clean and quiet. The town of Castelmezzano is fabulous...and well worth a visit. Don't miss the Volo dell Angelo if you like heights and high speed!

The same guy guided us in when it looked like the road to the hotel was blocked, came looking for us in the main square after we'd (inevitably) missed the hotel driving along the road into the village; checked us in, helped with our bags, took our dinner order, served the food at dinner and breakfast, and checked us out.... This hotel had the most fabulous view of the gorgeous mountain peaks in this incredible hill town. The accommodations were clean and all the amenities needed were there. The hotel staff were the hardest working people I've ever met and were so friendly and bent over backwards for us. The restaurant in the hotel won the Michelin award and served... More

Castelmezzano is not without any reason one the most beautiful villages in Italy but very remotely nestled in the lucanian dolomites. On top you get a great Osteria Italiana where you can enjoy the view when dining on fantastic local food and sip some aglianico del vulture. Highly recommended but probably hard to come by again. The room was ok,... More

We only saw one staff member and he was brilliant and seemed to be doing everything, very well, with a smile on his face. The dinner in the hotel was lovely, the room clean and comfortable. So happy that we made the detour from the tourist route and enjoyed every minute of Castelmezzano, the local people and this hotel.

We stayed for a night on 05 July 2012 to do the Flight of the Angles extremo. Nicely renovated with wonderful views across the valley, great deck for a pre-dinner drink. This albergo has lots of history and old pics around the restaurant. Young Salvatore looked after us perfectly, was very helpful, and the dinner was excellent - note the... More
