The rather plain exterior hides a bar and eating room which have been decorated to a high standard. The bar also pleases, with a very interesting selection of beers and lagers, as well as a wide range of wines. The staff are attentive, and ensure the bar and dining areas are kept very clean. The lunch menu is quite restricted... More

Visiting this beautiful and charming village for their Open House weekend, we wanted a nice and unpretentious lunch. The Bull offered a menu that was exactly that, and also boasted a charming interior (the beer garden looked nice but it was too hot for a prolonged stay.) The food - fish and chips - was delicious but pretty expensive, while... More

A fantastic location in a village just under the South Downs gives an easy start to a good review but the service, food and well stocked bar were all things that the Bull has worked hard at and achieved well. Obviously popular with the locals as well which is a good indication. We left feeling relaxed and well rested and... More

First time visiting The Bull today and I had an amazing time. To eat I had a beef burger with chips and the way it was presented was excellent. I had to admire how the food looked on the plate before eating it. The meal was delicious, hot and just right. The same can be said for the apple and... More

We used the Bull for ourselves and our guests after our wedding at St Marhgarets church in the village. We were all impressed with the freshly decorated rooms which were contempory but in keeping with the historic building. The breakfast was fantastic. The helpful staff coped very well considering most of our extended family joined us for breakfast with little... More

Loads of outside tables and food served outside too with lovely views of the downs. Vegetarian options limited but the rest of the menu looked ok and our food was good. Pricier than your average pub but being in the lovely sunny garden made up for it.

Very much enjoyed our meal - food was delicious, the chicken and white chocolate ice cream in particular, as was the atmosphere in the establishment. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming - I would highly recommend a meal here and will definitely be back!

We went for a family lunch after hearing wonderful things about this beautiful pub. The menu was exciting, ingredients fresh and all our food was cooked and prepared to an amazing standard! They even grow their own fruit and veg in the garden which is true dedication to fantastic food! The atmosphere was great with every table full. The staff... More

We had a lovely lunch here.We all opted for the roast beef and horseradish sarnies with side orders of rustic chips. All the food was fresh and delicious. We had desserts as well- The sticky toffee pudding was scrummy!Staff were efficient and attentive.Great quick, service. The lovely open fire was very welcoming on a chilly day. The food was slightly more than... More

We had a midweek evening meal at this pub. Although the atmosphere was good with a lovely fire on a cold night, the pub was so dark that we had difficulty reading the menu or seeing any of the food on the plate. The menu was varied and the food tasty but of a relatively small quantity. prices were on... More
