We stayed here in Jan 2009 and chose Les Valmonts because of the positive reviews it has previously received. Unfortunately, as it turns out, the apartments are under new management this season and we were very disappointed with our accommodation.
Our biggest concern was with the management (extremely rude and unpleasant) and the ridiculous check-in/out procedure. Check-in is not until 5pm. It then took us 2 hours to get to the front of the queue. You have to leave a deposit of 300 euros and upon arrival are presented with an inventory of over 150 items in your apartment (cutlery, crockery etc) which you are meant to check to see if anything is missing. If anything is missing and you do not report it at once, you are liable for the cost of replacement.
The charge for a lost key is an extortionate 140 euros.
The apartments, whilst clean, are very basic, a bit scruffy and very tiny. 2 of us really struggled for space in a 4 person apartment. There is...
