When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted by an inviting pub and ample car parking. There were 8 of us in 5 rooms and were staying here for a wedding which was happening locally. Rooms These are next to the car park so you can park right outside your room. There are twin rooms or a double. Although we booked... More

We have been to this restaurant before and never disapointed. Yet again the food was excellent but over two nights the service was vastly different. The first night a Thursday we were greeted and told to pick a table. We did notice it was not that busy when we arrived but a lot of tables were covered with dirty pots... More

Made this my goal after a morning's walking while on holiday in the area. Very welcoming staff and big thanks to the young woman serving drinks who found out some travel information for me while I was eating. Hearty lunch, piping hot and efficient, pleasant table service. Beautiful garden out the back with comfy chairs and green, green grass! Tip... More

We had our breakfast here, fantastic service and great produce. We also had an evening meal there, it was fabulous. Heartily recommend it! The decor and cleanliness of the pub was second to none. A friendly little place.

Go quite often for Sunday lunch. It does what it says on the tin. It is good valve no nonsense Sunday dinner with a good choice of excellently cooked joints of meat mash and roast potatoes Yorkshire puds gravy and veg. Quality is consistent and the staff pleasant. What more do you want ??
