Stayed as part of a motorbike tour. It is certainly adequate for your needs but is fairly basic. The breakfast was pretty good. The wifi was reasonable but only at reception. If you are in Putre I am sure you could do worse !

Dec14 price advertised on the front desk is 30000 pesos for twin or double. Decor is different shades of brown. Shower has no temperature control. Bring a kettle. We had no problems with temperature - although it was not warm, there were plenty of blankets. Sheets were clean. Restaurant just round the corner has good food, but limited menu. Breakfast... More

This is a basic hotel which is clean with comfortable beds. There's no heating so lots of warm blankets are provided, but I was still really cold at night. Hot water was sporadic but supposedly is always present. After a lot of running of the tap fit materialized! Cost 30,000 pesos per night for a double room (they did not... More

- Hotel Kukuli probably was chosen by our tour operator because Terrace Lodge was fully booked. - Spartan, clean room with a small, glassed-in terrace with a table and chairs. - Simple, small, clean bathroom with a hot water shower. - No heating. For the second night we got an electric stove, but since only one half of it was... More

We arrived in July and, after reading recommendations by several leading travel books, intended to stay at the Terrace Lodge. Unfortunately, the lodge was full but the very helpful proprietor recommended we check for vacancies at the Kukuli hotel. The staff at Kukuli mostly spoke Spanish but could understand a smattering of English - enough to arrange two rooms for... More

We were so glad for the hot shower and the cosy beds after camping out the night before. I was glad that the tour guide sorted out all the details, though - the front desk hardly ever had anyone there. We ate at the restaurant at night and enjoyed the alpaca (very tender), and the cook made some plain food... More

We arrived early in March and this was one of only two places open. It was quite hard to raise the staff who are a bit laid-back but no problem. The two rooms we had were fine, a bit small but perfectly adequate. Beds were warm with extra blankets if needed (we didn't). Wifi worked OK and the bathrooms were... More

We stayed there just for one night. We wanted to go Chungara lake. I think it was a nice place to stay and get used to the high, it seem to be a new hotel, they helped us with our "puna" (high sickness). It doesn't have television on the room but we had this huge headache so it didn't matter.... More

Putre is a very small Aymara village in northern Chile, near the Parque Nacional Lauca. This is a highly recommended part of Chile to visit! The scenery is astounding, the lack of other tourists is refreshing, and wildlife spotting is top-notch: vicunas and viscachas are everywhere! Putre is the only village to stay in to access the National Park. Lodging... More
