We just returned from a 3-day weekend visit to New Orleans, where we enjoyed the outstanding service and hospitality offered by Patrick and Karma at Ashton’s Bed and Breakfast. Although we had been to New Orleans before, we knew very little about the Esplanade Avenue area, but found it quite convenient for our needs on this trip. We stayed in... more
July 3, 2009 We have just returned from a convention in New Orleans. We purposely chose not to stay in a hotel this trip. We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts over the years, and Ashton's ranks among the very best. The hospitality was genuine and very apparent that these folks love their city. Our room was clean and... more
I have visited Ashton's twice and both times have been extraordinary. I stayed in Room Four: Jazz Festival, for this recent trip, and it was breathtaking! The room provided a very luxurious king-sized bed, two sitting chairs, a sofa-bed, an antique vanity dresser, a desk, and the most amazing shower you will ever experience. I would highly recommend staying in... more
We were in town for the Sugar Bowl (go Dawgs!) and stayed at Ashton's starting on New Year's Eve. It was absolutely beautiful, still decorated for Christmas in an elegant yet homey way. The front room, next to the Christmas tree, was perfect for reading. They provided wonderful books on New Orleans and Louisiana, covering both historical and contemporary concerns.... more
My Husband and I loved our stay at Astons. The rooms in the main house were amazing!!! Patrick was the most Helpful and kind man. I would tell anyone to stay there. lisa more
We stayed at Ashton's B&B for the third time for Jazz Fest 2008. Ashton's B&B is set in a beautiful, elegant New Orleans home with a grand, wide entry hall that extends the entire length of the main building. The spacious bedrooms (in the main house) are off this main hall, and are filled with a mix of antique and... more
My family, my boyfriend, and I have stayed at Ashton's for years. Every year we come to New Orleans for Jazz Fest and we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. Not only is Ashton's close to the fair grounds (about a ten minute walk) and close to the French Quarter (about a five minute drive), it is a quintessential part of... more
We recently spent 4 nights at Ashton's for a special event. As with my previous stay, everything was top-notch. The owners know what guests expect in a B&B, and provide it. The breakfasts are world-class, in taste, presentation, variety, and in capturing what you expect in New Orleans. Our breakfasts included eggs Creole, bananas Foster waffles, crawfish etouffee over crepes... more
My husband and I love to travel and we have stayed in some of the world's best hotels in Europe, Asia and South America. When our friends made arrangements to take us to New Orleans for a long weekend, we never expected that we would be staying in such luxury and comfort. This inn is a destination in and of... more
