Powell Butte Natural Area
Take a short hike to the top of this Butte with amazing vistas in all directions.

Points of Interest
1. Parking
Parking is free and you will start out on the Mountain View Trail to the top of the Butte for some views.
2. Top of the Butte
Here you will find a picnic table to relax at. From here I've made a variation of hte Wild Hawthorne Equestrian Trail off the Orchard Loop Trail
3. Take a right onto the Wild Hawthorn Trail
Follow this into the woods to the south. It is a horse trail so look out for "splatter". Follow this south until you reach the Springwater Corridor Trail (I have another guide for that).
4. Pioneeer Orchard Trail
From here follow the Pioneer Orchard hiking/biking trail back for a change of scenery.
5. Orchard Loop Trail
You are now back on the Orchard Loop trail. Take a right.
6. Wildhorse Trail
You can head back to the mountain view trail form here or continue down the Wildhorse trail for a change of scenery as I did by taking a right here.
