Iron Mountain is the crown jewel of the Santiam Foothills. Views of all the large mountains in the Cascade range.

1. Tombstone Pass Parking Lot
You will find the trailhead near the restrooms located in the parking area.
2. Cross the Highway
You will cross the highway to connect with the trail to Cone Peak meadows and beyond Iron Mountain

Turn uphill to head to the Iron Mountain Summit. Downhill returns to the parking areas.

Keep left here to return to Tombstone Pass trailhead. Turn right for parking lot listed at POI #8

If you are not interested in the longer hike through the meadows of Cone Peak, you may choose to park here.
To access this parking turn onto Road 035 about a mile west of Tombstone Pass near milepost 62. Take the forth left onto Road 038 to the parking area.
