Points of Interest

1. Enter the Park

Here you will drive into the park from the Avenue of Pines Road off South Broadway just south of downtown Saratoga Springs.

This is a famous luxury hotel in the region that is a popular place to stay for people who plan on enjoying the mineral baths and spas of the area.

3. Parking

Park here or in the lot next to here to the south to start your walk around the Spa State Park. There are a lot of different trails in the area so use the track in this guide to find your way to the major buildings and places of interest within the park.

4. Park Administration Building

Stop in here to pick up a trail map and learn more about what the park has to offer to visitors.

5. Victoria Pool Complex

Take a dip in the first heated pool in the United States that was built in 1935.

6. Roosevelt Baths

These two buidlings house the Roosevelt Baths. These go hand-in-hand with your stay at the Gideon Putnam Hotel. They are one of the top destinations in Saratoga and their minerals are known for their health benefits.

7. Ferndell Trails

Here you will enter the Ferndell Trails area and head through the woods on a path to the Geyser Picnic area on the opposite side of Geyser Road which you will cross.

8. Geyser Picnic Area

Here you can enjoy a picnic lunch and go for a nice loop hike around the Karista trail in the area as the track shows in this guide. When you are back to the parking area head northwest through the trees and over the river to join up with the Peerless Loop Trail along Picnic Lane.

9. Peerless Pool Complex

This is a great rubber-bottomed pool that is perfect for the whole family as one end is simply a gradual walk into the pool where the children can sit in the water and splash. There is also a baby pool and a side pool with 20 foot high double waterslide. Fun for the whole family.

10. Wetland Trail

This trail will take you on a loop hike into the wetland area of the park if you are interested. If not head back the way you came and join up with the Geyser Loop Road and Picnic Lane again.

11. Wetland Viewpoint

This may be a great place for bird watching over the wetland area. Look for cranes and blue herons.

12. Cross East West Road

Cross the road into a parking area and take a right on a path that will take you back to Picnic Lane across the Geyser Road. This will look familiar to you as you came in on this path.

13. Geyser Creek Trail

Follow this trail along the creek towards the performing arts center along Geyser Creek.

14. SPAC

Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Some of the best artists in the world play on this stage. The lawn rises up from the stage in an amphitheatre and the sound is always spectacular.

15. Hall of Springs

This building offers fine dining and is a popular venue for weddings in the area.

This is a wonderful place to explore if you are into the history of the autombile in this country. Check out the link in this guide for more information about this museum. From here you are done with your exploring. Head directly east across the field or follow the road back to the parking lot where your car is. If you are interested feel free... More

17. Lincoln Baths

These mineral baths consist of individual tubs where you can relax and enjoy the soothing minerals and warm water.
