Day 2
In this unusual place of worship, mischievous simians throng among sacred temples and lush greenery.
The local royal palace of Bali's cultural capital contains several pavilions housing ornate musical instruments. Dance performances are held here most evenings for a fee.
Gunung Kawi is a temple complex centered around royal tombs carved into stone cliffs in the 11th century. It is located amid scenic rice terraces about 30 minutes from Ubud. Note: There are more than 300 steps to climb.
This small temple is distinguished by beautiful lotus ponds on its grounds. It is also the venue for excellent dance performances Thursday evenings; while visiting the temple is free, there is a fee for the performance.

Day 3
Three pavilions of regional classical Balinese architecture display interesting religious and cultural artifacts of the island. Two stories of the contemporary building are devoted to Balinese history and the development of the fine arts.
These well preserved royal pavilions contain some of the finest examples of Balinese mural painting. There is also a museum of significant historical and cultural importance.
The foremost cultural complex in Bali's capital city Denpasar, the Art Centre houses a museum of artifacts displayed in the context of the island's history and is a venue for concerts and other performances. It also contains classic examples of local architecture and a lovely garden.
