From the Redbud Boat Launch in Clearlake, head across the lake around the back side of Indian Island. Travel another couple miles into the Tule Maze, passing the official entrance marker to Anderson Marsh. The fun part is slowly finding your own way through the canals, watching birds.
Heading back, veer east and paddle into the entrance of Cache Creek. This is another great adventure for a different day (see the water trail entitled Cache Creek Dam). Loop north around Garner Island, past the North Flat Day Use area and then hug the eastern shoreline of Clear Lake until you arrive back at the Redbud Park Boat Launch.
This is the second in a series of water trails created by the Konocti Regional Trail System in Lake County, California. less «
