
The Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum contains the site of one of only two synagogues in Shanghai, the Ohel Moshe Synagogue, along with two exhibition halls. Volunteers offer informative tours of the museum.
A hands-on 90-minute cooking class of two to three recipes in a well-equipped kitchen. Reservations must be made in advance, and there is an additional cost for ingredients.
Museum displays traditional crafts of ivory, jade and wood carvings, textiles, painted snuff bottles and a variety of folk crafts. There are some studios where you can watch artisans at work, as well as a gift shop of high-quality goods (and prices).
