Elephanta Caves are situated on Elephanta Island about 7 kms from Mumbai’s mainland shore. The caves can be reached by an approx. 1-hour boat ride from Gateway of India. Open from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Closed on Monday.
Designed in the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture, this dome-topped museum with a blue and yellow stone facade, has art, architecture and natural history exhibits.
The action starts at night at this famous beach, which is lined with vendors, entertainers, children's rides and fast food stalls selling bhelpuris (puffed rice snacks) and other Indian delights.
Day 2
Not your typical swimming and bathing beach, this beach is best visited on weekend afternoons and evenings, when it comes alive with children's rides, carvnival-like amusements and food stands.
The Temple is one of the most beautiful temples of Lord Krishna in Mumbai.
Very famous shopping area in Bandra (W), a posh suburb of Mumbai. Linking Road is famous for the colourful and cheap shoes, bags and fashion accessories which are sold there.
This is a bridge which links Mumbai’s suburbs to South Mumbai. It’s a very prestigious bridge which was opened in 2009.
Day 3
Located in Mumbai’s central area, Prabhadevi, this temple is the most revered Lord Ganesh temple not only of Maharashtra but also of India.
This temple located on Bhulabhai Desai Road is a very famous temple of Goddess Mahalakshmi. The idols of Goddesses Mahakali and Mahasaraswati are also enshrined at this temple.
Sitting on a jetty in the Arabian sea, this spectacular white mosque was built to honor and house the remains of the Muslim saint Haji Ali.
