Points of Interest

1. New Tripoli Campsite

This is the sign marking the trail to New Tripoli Camp Site, one of the official campsites in this section.

Water is available at this site.

2. The Knife Edge

This is a rough section of boulder hopping. The rocks are large and drop off on both sides. Take your time, don't get hurt, and enjoy the views.

3. Scenic Overview

This is one of the many views you'll see along the ridge.

4. Game Lands Parking lot.

This is a big parking lot and could be used as an alternate starting or ending point.

5. Bake Oven Knob

This appeared to be a popular spot with day hikers. Sadly, there was a lot of graffiti, but the views were nice.

6. Bake Oven Knob Shelter

This is a fairly small shelter. It'll sleep 6 people. Water is available in a nearby spring.

7. George W. Outerbridge Shelter

This shelter is larger than the Bake Oven Knob shelter. It'll probably sleep 8-10 people.

8. Spring

There's a pipe in the ground with water coming out of it.

9. Parking lot at Lehigh Gap

Space was tight at this parking area.

10. Unmarked Campsite

There are numerous campsites in this section that aren't marked on the official AT map.

11. Unmarked Campsite

The unmarked campsites aren't big. Most of them had enough space for 3-4 tents.

12. Unmarked Campsite

All of the unmarked campsites had fire rings.
