After the complex renovation the New Museum became a piece of art itself. Here the treasures of the old Egypt can be seen. One of the most well-known and worthwhile busts among this treasure is the Nefertiti.

The Old National Gallery hosts masterpieces of the 19th century. Among the most important artworks are “The Monk by the Sea” by Casper David Friedrich, “The Balcony Room” by Adolph von Menzel and “Two Princesses” by Johann Gottfried Schadow, which depicts the Princesses Luise and Friederike.

At the Pergamon Museum the visitors can experience the ancient times. Here awaits an exciting time travel to old times. Among the highlight of the museum belong the imposing reconstructions of the Pergamon Altar, the Roman market gat of Milet and the Babylonian Ishtar Gate.

The imposing three-winged building of the Bode-Museum creates the perfect location for the collection of Byzantine Art, which presents art of the Western Roman and Byzantine Empires from 3rd to the 15th century.
