1. The Royal Military Canal

The Royal Military Canal was built between 1804 and 1809 as a defence against French Invasion during Napoleonic Wars. The regular changes in alignment allowed gun emplacements to cover each length.

2. Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway

Miniature steam engines pull the carriages on this tiny railway. You may ride the 14 miles from Hythe to Dungeness on the 15 gauge track.
