North America's third-largest park draws eight million visitors per year, many of whom may skate or walk past you on the Seawall, a scenic, 5.5-mile path running along the water on the park's perimeter. It's just one of many trails among the park's 1,000 acres, which also house an aquarium, nature center and other recreational facilities.

A small but fascinating museum devoted to presenting the maritime history of Vancouver and the Canadian Arctic. Tour the preserved St. Roch, the first ship to completely circumnavigate North America. UPDATE:The Vancouver Maritme Museum, upon its opening in June 1959, was hailed as a model design for small community museums.Over the years, the Museum has continued to be Canada's principal maritime museum on the Pacific; and for over 50 years, has been Pacific Canada's premier link to maritime history, art, culture, industry and technology. The City of Vancouver is making important upgrades to the building infrastructure, to ensure the preservation of the Museum and its objects, including: *Replacing of the shelter skylights; *Replacement of the Fire Suppression System on St. Roch; *Replacement of other Museum windows; *Assorted repairs.Work will be continuing into Spring 2013, during that time the public will be restricted form access to the St. Roch. The City of Vancouver and staff and volunteers of the Vancouver Maritime Museum appreciate the support of our neighbours and patrons during the replacements and repairs. The Museum continues to operate as usual, with school programs, events and exhibits. We look forward to reopening the St. Roch shelter in 2013, and invite everyone to stop by for a visit in the meantime to see all the treasures the museum holds.
