The hotel itself is a wonderful place to stay, and the extra attractions for sci-fi fans include "Star Trek: The Experience" (now two rides!) and Quark's Bar, a very good restaurant.
2. Bellagio Hotel fountain
This water fountain show goes on once every hour. It's slightly different every time, but always worth watching, especially if you're on top of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel.
3. Hoover Dam
Hoover Dam, Boulder City, Nevada
This is definitely worth a car rental and drive out to the dam. I took the hard hat tour, although it was before 9/11. I'm not sure how extensive it is today, but it was pretty impressive at the time!
4. Grand Canyon
Grand Canyon, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
This attraction just defies description. Whether you're just going for a day (I took a planned puddle-jumper flight and just a brief tour since I didn't have much time) or are staying overnight, it is WELL worth the effort to get there!
5. Blue Man Group
Blue Man Group, Las Vegas, Nevada
Awesome show...very entertaining, for both kids and adults.
