This is a list (in no particular order) of things that we did as a family with a good age range. I think families with similar age children will find this list helpful.

We did the Monuments at Moonlight tour as well as the two (Orange and Green Lines) day tours. TIP: If you plan to end your day at the Welcome Center (This is where you buy your tickets, although you can board anywhere on your route,) save all you souvenir shopping for here. They have almost everything.
The Orange line will take you to all the DC attractions. The Green Line takes you out of DC into Georgetown, up to the National Cathedral, and down Embassy Row. Do not skip the green line. It is really fascinating, plus its a great way for the kids to rest. |

| As with the Jefferson Memorial, the kids loved this because of the size, location, and views. We had to drag them away. |

| Call your Congressman's office and book a private tour through them. Not only will you see the capitol without the masses, but you will get to visit his/her office and see a lot of inner workings. |

| Surprisingly our 10 and 8 year old really enjoyed the archives and the history. This stop can be as long or as short as you want it, but should not be missed. You can barley see the ink on these wonderful documents and before long they will not be visible. NO FLASH PHOTOS in here. |

18. National Museum of American History
| As of the 23rd of Jan the Museum of American History is closed for one year for renovations. They moved the top 150 exhibits to the air and space museum |

22. Washington National Cathedral

| We didn't have time to go in to the Cathedral, but this should not be missed, even if you only have time to drive by. What an awesome sight |
23. National Museum of the American Indian
| A little boring, not what we expected but if your kids are learning about native Americans this will be interesting. Excellent native American food in the cafe. |

| Since the kids saw so many references to Lincoln we decided to visit Ford's Theater, (perfect before or after the Spy Museum) dont forget to visit the house across the street where Lincoln passed away. |

| A must see for kids. Now they know that money doesn't grow on trees. BUt the do know that $720 Billion is printed annually. |
